The TCM (tranny brain) read the operators guide. (open glove box , grab it) its free this guide. get one.
it tell you D1 flashes, and means tranny MALF.
On some cars, after 1996 the Tranny fail codes are reported
via the ECU, using any scan tool. ever use a scan tool?
see P070x codes....
are you in USA? if yes, then all scan tools work, here. for ECU.
The FSM has over 100 pages on , on car tranny diagnosis
ever seen that?
page 178 , see that, page? below. why not burn this to CD or memory stick and put it back in the glove box for next time.?
honda sells it.

used FSM on fleabay ,dirt cheap.
and OBD2 scan tool is like $9 today 2013
and this car has 100s of DTCs for just the tranny
P07xx 8xx and 9xx, one of the largest set of code of any car ever made, it blows the mind, how many.;
so connect the tool and see the codes.
