1978 ,you have no power to the coil with ignition switch on ,if you have power then check it with the ignition switch in start position as sometimes the switch packs up and no power to the coil in start position

How come my wagon won't start but only sometimes?

Sounds like weak connection somewhere,I would start by one at a time, clean by scraping the prongs of each fuse. If this does not resolve your issue go by one of the parts houses that provide free electrical and charging system checks

I have 93 dodge power ram and it wont start it has power to the starter but not any where else even with the key in the on position

ignition or starter relay should be checked first.
Faulty ignition switch might be an issue.
You will still need an ignition source before you think about the push button start.
A friend has the same problem, and its a computer issue. (underhood, pass side low on firewall)
best of luck to ya.

2000 ford taurus no ignition power

In the diagram, the top wires are voltage to ignition switch, hot all the time, use a test lite to check for voltage, you can see the wire colors. The bottom wires go hot with key in the proper position, check them for voltage, also. I started to trouble shoot your power windows, figuring if you fix one component, it may fix the others. I guess it's 6 of one or 1/2 dozen of another. Several ways to troubleshoot.
Any applicable trouble codes?

Locked ignition. Can't get car out of park or turn ignition switch. Ignition is locked up.

you will most likely have to replace key cylinder. remove cowl around steering column, upper & lower, remove plastic cyl around key, you will need a paper clip to remove key cyl. small hole near back of key cyl, install paper clip end pushing down turn key cyl, to run position, jiggle key cyl to remove. auto parts store should have replacement. good luck

Ignition switch turns , all dash lights come on but the starter won't even click. this happened periodically. Now it doesn't start. Any clues??? Thanks. Mike

REPLACE YOUR IGNITION SWITCH .THIS SWITCH IS UNDER DASH ON STEERING COLUMN.ITS NOT THE KEY SWITCH. THIS SWITCH IS BOLTED TO COLUMN .YOU HAVE AROD THAT RUNS FROM KEY SWITCH TO THIS ONE WHEN YOU TURN KEY IT PUSHES THIS ONE ON AND SENDS POWER TO STARTER ,ECT. IT A PLASTIC SWITCH ON A METAL FRAME W/WIRES PLUG-IN AND BOLTS TO STEERING COLUMN. BY THE WAY JUST REPLACED ONE ON A S-10 YESTERDAY SAME PROBLEM AN I AM A MECHANIC.
