Question about Nissan Altima

1 Answer

I have a 2006 nissan Altima and I was driving on the interstate and my car made a weird jump then as I was existing off I noticed the r/min gage was jumping as my car was. I came to a stop and when I started to accelerate my car hesitated for maybe 2-3 sec.. But I was at my location just a few min later and haven't gotten back in the car. It has roughly 143,500 miles and oil was due for a change at 141,000.. I dot know if that has anything to do with it. What could my problem be??

First check the oil level, the low oil sensor will disable the ignition if it is more than a quart low. Also your timing belt needed to be changed at 80,000 miles. A broken timing belt at high way speed can damage the cylinder head (bent valve)

SOURCE: Low idle and hesitation when driving

i had a similar problem, with a different car though, and it turned out that the seals in the fuel pumps had been eaten away by the ethanol in the fuel i was using. i had the fuel pumps replaced as well as the filter and switched to a different fuel that contained no ethanol and i haven't had a problem since.

SOURCE: when driving, the car is jumping and will cut off

Your timing is off, need new alternator, or get the free Nissan recall done where they reprogram the computer to run at higher RPM.

2006 2.5L Nissan Altima, A/C was working fine. Had to kick into passing gear on Interstate, kept blowing but no longer cooling. Checked what I could at home. Compressor is def. not coming on when...

Well the car must have a wide open throttle relay that disables the compressor clutch under a load.
it is most likely stuck or not working it most likely gets a signat from the ecm to cut of power to the ac clutch

How do you know your serpentine belt on a 2006 nissan altima is going out

Serpentine belts should be replaced every 60k miles. You do not want it breaking while driving down the road. To inspect the belt look at the grooved side of the belt. If you see cracks in the rubber then I would replace it.

Fuel gage on 2005 altima is way beyond full. Does

It is either the sending unit in the gas tank or the dashboard gauge, either job poses its own challenges take your pick. If it is the gauge if you were lucky in a couple of weeks it will become unstuck in to pegged out position but that is only if it is a mechanical issue with the needle itself wedged in place.
