I've had this happen once before and tightening the battery cables seemed to fix it. Until about a year later. This time, after giving me a warning of a few warning clicks about a week earlier, the fan wouldn't stop even after the car had been parked for 1.5 hrs! The fan unlitmately drained the battery and the jeeps in the shop right now.

I'll let you know what happens. i'm told it sounds like the selenoid.

The crank sensor on that body style Grand Cherokee is known to cause the shutdown while driving problem. Have it checked out.

I have a 1999 grand jeep it cut off when im

I just had this problem on my 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Once the engine got warm, after about 15 to 20 minutes, the car would just die at random times, sometimes when doing 40 mph and sometimes at idle.

I ended up changing the Crankshaft Position Sensor and it cleared the issue.

My 2001 jeep cherokee's headlights come on when no one's in the car.

You have a short in your electrical harness, or a short in the headlight switch. Look in the yellow pages of your directory for auto electric shops. Call at least three shops. Tell them what you are experiencing and get an estimate.

I believe it's one of your relays too. There are a few relays under the glove box. If you can determine which one is clicking you can change it out and possibly solve your problem. Good luck...
