If it's amber, it could be anything from a blown bulb to an engine fault.
If it's red, you have something more important going on like a door open or imminant engine failure... or your your DIM is failing.

The messages on the info screen should point you in the right direction.

Why susuki cultus reduce coolant level without over heating

Suggests sign of internal leak. Check dipstick for engine oil to see if there is a sign of coolant mixed with engine oil. (Generally foaming of oil instead of amber or dark solid color) (Could even show level is high due to coolant adding to oil and raising level.)
If there is, it's a very serious problem.
One quick way to try a very inexpensive fix that's worked for me is a product called Barr's Leak. (It's worked twice for me on two cars.) Get the expensive "copper" version (looks like liquid copper) and add to your coolant system following manufacturer's instructions. Top off coolant and then drive car for a couple of full engine temperature sessions.
If coolant then no longer goes down, change engine oil draining out old coolant that may have contaminated it and refill with new filter.
Keep an eye on level after that to see if coolant level remains stable.
If coolant still goes down, a engine over haul or new engine may be needed.

My 97 chevrolet s10 p/u acts like its starving for gas i checked the fuel pump, its pumping good/ i put a new filter on it and plugs, the old plugs were solid black, what could be wrong with it?

Solid black plugs usually means a rich fuel mixture.
Has the check engine light been on with the engine running ?
What was the fuel pressure at idle, and what size engine do you have ?

My check engine light keeps blinkin on my 2003 chevy impala and keeps shakin

Take it in, a blinking check engine light is not a good sign. Solid yellow is ok, blinking yellow or red is in need of service. Get the codes checked asap.

Engine doesn't heat up,stays cold, heater wont produce heat

Hi there and welcome to fixya,

there must be a problem with the heater glow plugs.. These are like cigarette sized plugs connected with solid metal sheet zigzagged. remove the plugs and check for signs of corrosion. If its corroded, its black. otherwise it should be white or light brown.

hope this helps

Is there any problem that i should look for in buying one please

Hi, volvo's have pretty solid engines so unless you hear an load knocking noises coming from the engine or blue smoke coming out the exhaust you should be ok engine wise, but here is a list of things you should check
1, listen for knocking sounds from engine
2, look for blue color smoke coming out of exhaust, if you see blue smoke then walk away as it means engine needs rebuilding.
3, check the oil, check oil level and color if their is anything that looks like mayonaise then this means head gasket has gone and needs replacing this can be expensive, if the oil level is ok and looks ok then the engine should be fine.
4 have a good look around engine for oil or water leaks check on floor under engine for signs of oil or water dripping off engine,
5, check all wheel arches for signs of rust
6. go gor drive and test the brakes and check all the gears including revers as gear box work can be expensive.
7 check the car will turn left and right on full lock and listne for any knocking noise whilst turning round islands etc this could mean drive shaft or gearbox trouble
8 listen for knocking noises going over bumps if your hear any then this would mean ball joints need replacing, not that expensive to do but you could use this to lower the price f it does knock.
9 check all the lights and switches work inside the car.

that list should give you a good idea of what to look for if you have any concernes walk away their are plenty of other cars out their. have a look underneath at the floor to check for corrosion as it would be expensive to get the floor welded up and also ask about service history.

let me know if you need further assistance ok

When stopped at light/stop sign, rattling comes

Inspect the motor mounts for cracks or breaks in the mount. Ask a friend to stand at the right front fender with the hood open while you start the car. Make sure the emergency brake is on and you block one of the rear tires in front of it and in back of it with a brick or similar solid material. Put the car in drive (1st gear for manual transmission) and with your foot on the brake pedal rev the motor for a few seconds at about 1500-1800 rpm as your friend watches for excessive left and right movement from the engine. Then do the same in reverse and have him stand on the left side and do the same. If one mount is bad it is recommended that all the engine mounts be replaced. There are usually 2 or 3 for the engine and one for the transmission.

An solid sound is hearing in the engine when the same is running.

Like a knock, knock, knock solid sound? Have your oil chk'd for signs of a failed rod bearing. It will have to be drained cause metal eill settle. Is it there hot or cold?

Car quits running

Check your brackets for a bare wire (ground) that should be firmly attached to your car's frame this wire grounds your engine's ignition system (no ground no spark) If the wire is not solidly attached to an unpainted part of the frame and, vibrates the engine will lose ground and, your engine will die.
