Hi, If you have ABS system the (check light) will be on. You may want to check ABS system.(sensors, computer codes) Have it check out by a professional. Good luck.
You know you have an ABS System problem
or the light wouldn't be on.
Have it diagnosed
The brake lights could be a switch
or adjustment, chech by the brake pedal
for that
Sticking brakes, abs related maybe but most
likely they have to come apart and be cleaned of
rust and lubed
Caliper pistons frozen,hoses restricted
Older Vehicle lots to do
If you need to disconnect the ABS because it is causing problems or for another reason like that you can either pull the fuse that controls the ABS or disconnect the wire harness that leads to the ABS module.
If your ABS system is functioning properly there is no reason to disconnect it.
This could mean a wheel speed sensor has failed. You can jack up each wheel one at a time, backprobe the wheel speed sensor and check for ac voltage using a voltmeter while spinning wheel. Whatever sensor does not put out voltage, replace. Thanks
