I have a 2000 Renault Megane Sports Coupe 1.4 and there's no lift at all and accelerator pedal is very stiff... Have changed spark plugs recently,but made no difference..

could be very low on oil
or bottom end going? be may its the sheild just come lose

It`s the timing belt ticking it`ll adjust itself over time, meganes use oil driven tappets and take a little while to warm up so will be a bit tapety when cold.

this is a white box on the other side of the passangers dash board. lift up the bonnet and disconnect it. that will stop the noise but now your heaters will only get warm instead of hot. its some sort of flap to do with the heater matrix. realy anoying

had same problem ..use you cars serial vin number and check manufacturing date . as that is where the problem lies...1 month can mean a totally different part required.

your pressure plate is stiff if you want it softer replace the pressure plate

dryed up startor
get it re-lubricated at a garage should start
it should bump start anyway

Megane Coupe knocking from Dash when Wipers turned on


Sounds like the wipers are over working or not secured properly, This can over work the motor for the wipers. Try checking the bolts connecting the wipers and the blades on the wipers for good contact this will be a good starting point.
