There is about 4 aluminum rivets that holds the regulator in place, punch through the center pin with a small punch or nail, then your choice, either grind off the rivets,or chiesel them off, or drill them out will work, then the regulator will fall careful the window doesnt fall down and break, then there is 2 small bolts to remove for the track and they are closer to the hinge, part of the window track is connected to the wing window, about a 10 mm socket is the size..then use 1\4 lock nuts-bolts-and washers to reassemble..dont use bolts longer than 1 1\4 or smaller than 3\4 long...

Thank yo for the schematic Ernesto. It says Nissan 1996, so is the 2008 still using the same schematic?

It can be issue with motor itself. If its not going up,then how its working down. But still it feels like weak window motor or is issue with power window switch.Get the voltage tested at switch and motor. Also try another working window motor at not working window side.

Passenger and rear pwer windows will not work. The drivers window works fine. It is a 2000 plymouth voyager

Fuse would be first to check but probably not that. I would think all the windows would be on one circuit. Motors rarely go bad and it seems to be what most people replace first so use that as your last resort. My guess is that the control switch is bad and needs to be replaced (buttons on the driver door). It generally comes in one whole unit but you might be able to buy just the one switch.

I have problems rolling up my driver's side window in My Audi TT 2001 Convertible. It stopped working for months, then suddenly did work today for a while. Unfortunately, window is half way up, but...

well it one of three things the window motor, the window regulator, or you intermindently have no power to that window, start by checking for power at the window switch and then if you have power there the check for pwer at the motor which will require you to remove the door pannel, and you test for power with a multimeter or test light you can get at any auto store. so if there is power, and you dont hear a binding, grinding noise the motor is bad but its a whole lot easier to replace the window motor and regulator at the same time

I think my window motor has gone bad on my drivers side window on my 1989 GMC Suburban 5.7 liter. I need help on trying to fix it and where do i even begin?

I would begin by checking the fuse for the window. Switch with another fuse, as those are breaker type and a failure is not detectable by looking at it. Then remove window switch and check for power in and out of switch. If power is present, jump the connectors in the wiring plug and see if the window works or you hear the motor in the window hum. (replace switch if window works) If switch works and you get no motor movement, replace the window motor. Usually the window will begin to go up and down very slowly before they go completely out, so that is the symptom. To replace the motor, remove inside door panel and unbolt old motor, replace and rebolt, reverse disassembly. Good videos on for that procedure on most vehicles.......Mike

The drivers side window stoped working on my 2004 silverado the passenger side works fine

Try the fuse. The switch may be faulty so check by removing the inner door panel and connecting a 12v battery via two wires to the motor that winds the window up and down. If it goes up and down it's probably the switch which may just need a clean on the terminals.

to save some money i would replace the switch, after switch is replaced then you may want to try motor. take voltage tester and ground to body and test prongs on main switch on driver door, if no pwer to atleast 4 connections replace switch

Same problem, key switch and dash switch don't power window

you will need to remove the inside panel on the door and unbolt the track or motor to release the window enough to lower it so you can open the door. Then test for a pwer and ground at the connector. If all is good you need a new moter.

1989 ford mustang power window will not go down

check the pwer switch. if you don't detect any sign of live. then you have to open the door panel to check the motor. most likely the motor or the "T" rail cable is broken.

Hey when i push the power botton for the rear window it doesn't go down,I checked the power button, and its good ! Can i replace the power motor in the rear window, and where is it located,i would like to...

  1. Raise and support the rear door window glass to the full up position.
  2. Remove the interior door handle.
  3. Remove the rear door speaker.
  4. Remove the water shield.
  5. Disconnect the rear door window regulator motor electrical connector.
  6. Remove the rear door window regulator rivets.
  7. Remove the rear door window regulator by sliding the regulator arms off of the window glass track.
  8. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure, noting the following:
    • Cycle the door glass to make sure of engagement of the drive mechanism.
    • Remove the rear door window glass-to-regulator bolt or rivet.
    • Position the rear door window glass as necessary to access the rear door window glass-to-regulator rivet.
    • Secure the rear door window glass in the full UP position with tape.
    • Disconnect the window regulator motor electrical connector.
    • Remove the 2 window regulator nuts.
    • Remove the 3 window regulator motor bracket nuts.
    • Install the window regulator assembly. Tighten the 3 motor bracket nuts to 89 inch lbs. (10 Nm).
    • Install the 2 window regulator nuts. Tighten the nuts to 89 inch lbs. (10 Nm).
    • Connect the window regulator motor electrical connector.
    • Remove the tape securing the rear door window glass in the full UP position.
    • Position the rear door window glass as necessary to access the rear door window glass-to-regulator rivet. Tighten the bolt to 62 inch lbs. (7 Nm), or install a new rivet.
    • Install the window regulator motor
    • Remove the window regulator assembly.
