BMW 1997 M3 A/C Compressor Clutch Damaged - Needs to be Replaced

By richardrivas on Apr 23, 2009

" "
I am looking to install a new compressor, I wonder, if a used in fair conditon compressor bought at a junkyard will do the job? With a 3 month replacement guaranteed it is a lottery, isn't it.

Is this something that can be done in my garage, you know, without needing specilized tools. I think I will also need the Dryer unit, right?

Need some tips of what is my best option: Buy a new at a AutoZone store; buy a new original from BMW or just buy a chinese aftermarket compressor. I do not want o spend a lot on this car but sometimes the cheap stuff wll end up costing you more.

This car has 115,000 miles should I keep it
