Is it empty no oil in there at all. if it is you need to find and fix the leak if not and you just want to top up or check its on the top of most power steering pumps on the fan belt. white container with blacl lid.

Audi S8 Airconditioning

The water is probably condensing on the outer pipe, and then following a pipe and dripping inside the car from some bad insulated gasket.
There is also a drain hose for the AC that must be checked.
You must individuate where water comes from and re insulate gasket or clean drain hose.

The Navigation system in my 2002 audi S8 is "lost" and does not seem to be getting a lock on any satellites. Any ideas what to check?

Could it be the aerial somewhere ?? i have no idea at all other than the aerial ,i always stop to ask directions or go into the local cafe and have a coffee and ask where is somewhere .But these sort of faults might need the correct dealer software to locate the fault as yes the aerial is the most obvious but it could have a failed tuner reception chip ?'

Speedometer will stop and also power steering

After reading up on your problem,(I was dieing to find out what it was). It seems you are not alone, your car has a power steering pump called a servotronic, or something like that, and they go bad, there is a relay switch on the passenger side under the dash, pull it out, and see what it does to the steering, It may be a little tough getting used to , but everybody who does it says they won't put it back in. As far as the speedo goes, it has to connected somehow unless it is coincidence. I would get the one going and worry about the other later. Check it out.

My 1999 Audi S8 feels as though the handbrake is on, trans/power

this car has a fuzzy logic gearbox.if you drive using the first 1/3 of the pedal your gear changes will be smoother and fuel consumption will improve BUT the car will feel limolike to drive.the second 1/3 of travel will accelerate/change higher up the rev range and use more fuel.and you guessed it the last third is for idiots like me that want to feel the power....also always use the highest octane fuel you can get(minimum 95ron) ecm knows good stuff...and changes knock/timing accordingly.lastly, try a dose of redexe(or a lot) to clean out fuel system/injectors works wonders....

The steering makes a screechy noise when steering.

If fluid was refilled, how is the level now? If it's low again, it may be the problem. If it has a leak somewhere, fluid could possibly leak on the belts that drive the power steering system, causing the squeal or screech. So check the fluid level again, if it's down, top it off, and have the leak fixed. Let me know what you find, and if u need more help. Curt

Power steering problem

You might want to do a thorough power steering system flush....usually big dealers have the proper equipment to do so versus small shops or aftermarket shops. They pour a cleaner into the system, run the car while syphoning and refilling spontaniously. The reason your pump is going is probably having metallic debris floating around from your previously damaged pumps OR its being starved of proper lubrication OR the air is not being thoroughly bled out of the power steering system.

Power steering audi a6 1999

First, I'd try refilling the fluid. You can't use fluid off the shelf - Audi uses proprietary power steering fluid, available at dealerships (probably a VW dealer can give you the same thing) or online at www.germanautoparts.com or www.ecstuning.com. Try refilling it. The power steering fluid is cooled by a cooler behind the lower part of the bumper, and the fluid itself cools the power steering pump. If you're low on fluid, the pump may be heating up and in turn, heating the fluid. Fill it to the proper level and keep an eye on it for a couple of days and see if that fixes the problem.
