Fix the gas leak that is allowing the liquid propane to escape. Turn off the gas tap at the regulator and the unit will thaw out by it self. Regulators work by allowing the liquid to become gas which the engine runs on and in this process the temperature drops dramatically. Normally there are radiator hoses that keep the regulator heated to prevent the icing

98 Ford Ranger 4x4. shift arm has locked up. What does this mean?

Yes it could be frozen but that may not be a great thing with water getting into your gear box. Something to try is to use a heating tape to warm it up or a portable forced air propane heater to shoot under the truck for a while to thaw it out. Careful of the paint if you use this method though.

I have a 2001 intrigue and it starts but i think there is frozen water in my radiator and block

try to run it a little at a time to thaw it out just 30 secents or so if your lucky your block didn't crack or your soft plugs didn't come out you will have a water leak if they did you need antifreeze you can get some and pour it in but will need heat of some kind to thaw it running to long frozen will wreck your waterpump so go slow

Truck runs on propane does not start

Are you familiar with the propane injection system? If so can you tell me what tests you have run so far and what was inspected? Do you have a fuel type selector switch (to choose between Gas and Propane)? When did this problem start and what is the temperature outside? Propane will not convert from liquid to vapor fast enough, if it is too cold outside. Inspect the plumbing between the intake and the regulator. If there is a leak in the plumbing. The diaphragm inside the regulator will not move or open (to let propane flow to the engine). The regulator can malfunction if it becomes clogged with sludge from the propane. They sell a product that can be added to the propane tank. It is used to keep the fuel system clean. Please write back. If you have more details or information I would like to help. Good luck.

Frozen car door locks

If you are close to a extension cord, use a hair dryer and use it to thaw the lock. Borrow a portable generator, plug in an extension cord and use the hair dryer.

The hair dryer is about as hot as you dare use on the plastic and paint of your car. Do not use a cigarette lighter, propane torch, or flame.

They do make a probe that uses flashlight batteries to heat a wire element to stick in the lock hole. They are effective and hard to find.

Sometimes a tool called a Slim-Jim is used by Tow truck operators and Police to assist you. It can work, but the window may be frozen to the door and then it would not work.

A Locksmith may have some of these devices and your Car insurance may offer the Locksmith services.

2005 ford focus windshield washer not working. It was working then I filled it up with fluid and now it won't work. Wipers work but no fluid.

If it is cold in your area, the fluid may have frozen in the lines and or tank. Be sure you use fluid suitable for the weather conditions. If the tank is frozen - the heat from the engine may thaw it but the lines going to your wind shield may be exposed too much to the exterior to thaw from engine heat and will have to be cleared by an external heat source. A hair dryer may work - be careful of painted surfaces if you do use a heat gun or hair dryer. Hope this helps. Let me know. Thanks

My rover 25 will not start!the battry has power tryed a boost start as well as atow start.discovered that the water/antifreeze resevoir has a 1/4 inch of ice in it does this mean i have seized my engine...

let it thaw out ,then see if you have popped a core plug ,if no leaks then put in 3 litres of pure antifreeze and then try starting .petrol or diesel because if its diesel then the fuel could be frozen as well

Frozen wiper fluid. is there something I can add to a just filled washer tank

Well if is just filled and frozen then I would guess that you would have to wait for a warm day and try to get some of the fluid out first.Several companys make a ice melting washer fluid, but even if your tank is not frozen and it is just in your lines that are on your sprayers you will still have to wait until they thaw on there own.Unless you have acess to a heated garage.

Gas Gauge Stuck after FIll UP in Frigid Cold Weather

The float may be stuck in the UP position. To try thawing it, refill the tank and park in a heated garage.
This is a picture of a typical float:
