Question about 1999 Ford Crown Victoria
I Was installing My new CD Player in my car and my CD player just shut off. when i tried to connect my old CD player it would not turn on either. i was thinking it was a blown fuse, but i don't know with fuse it could be. and i don't have a owners manual
Check for an accessories fuse . there is normally on to control the radio. and other incidental items in the car.

I pulled the fuse
put the fuse back in
turn on the radio, insert a CD
pulled the fuse again, counted to 5
inserted the fuse again
while the CD started playing I clicked the Menu button and used the tunning dial to select default settings, and it asks if you want to reset default choose yes.
my radio works fine now!
thanks to all who posted this solution it works!

There could be two fuses that service the radio; one identified as 'Accessories' in the main fuse box and possibly a second in-line fuse inserted in the 12V line and under the dashboard.
