Can cars be stored in self storage facilities?

2 Answers

It all depends on the company. Often times the units themselves are large enough to accommodate. But sometimes, the units are located inside of a building, and a vehicle wouldn't be able to fit. I would suggest talking to local companies to see what there policies are, but I don't see why not, so long as nothing is damaged etc.

Talk with the company as some will allow it where others will not. If you are going to store a vehicle for a period of time get a hand book for the car as there are things that have to be done to preserve the vehicle. It is not a matter of parking the car especially if you want it to work when you get back

What full-size tire can replace the OEM spare of 2002 Windstar to fit the spare storage well?

The temporary spare is very narrow as will be the space available for storage. If you want an answer then I suggest you measure the storage compartment HEIGHT WIDTH AND LENGTH and come back and pose your question.
The first problem you will have is to get a wheel that will fit the car that is not too wide for the wheel storage area. If the available wheels are all too wide then you will will not be able to store a full size spare in the storage compartment. For that vehicle the available full size wheels in the correct bolt pattern will not be less than 6 or 6.5 inches wide.

My '99 93 saab conert top wont go down. i hear the motor running, but the back doesnt lift up to allow the storage compartment to open. the sid reads check soft top storage...which i did.

most likely the top pistons start to leak and the motor can create enough pressure to actually lift the top back to go in the storage area... i would let the tonuea cover lift open then get out the car and look around to see for fluid residue.. if not and there are no leaks.. possible the seals in the pump it self has gone out.. and the motor is still trying to pump... the pump and motor is located behind the rear seat under the small plastic panel/.

1999 chrysler sebring lxi service engine light on

Your vehicle’s computer system has self-testing capability. When the computer senses that there is a problem with one of the components or sensors it stores the correspondent trouble code(s) in its memory and lights up the "Check Engine" or "Service Engine Soon" light to tell you that there is a problem and you need to diagnosed and repaired it. If the light starts flashing, this is evidence of a serious problem and the vehicle should be taken to a repair facility or you need to repair it immediately.
