Question about Cars & Trucks

1 Answer

My interior dashboard of my 2000 Plymouth Neon shakes when my car is running, worse when it's in park. I heard people say I might need a lower motor mount because the engine knocks when I change gears when idol, but another said I need new struts. Which one is it?

I would go for the engine mounts. Struts will knock when you are on an uneven surface and the units are working

Sounds like a fuel problem , have you changed the fuel filter in a while ? could be the knock sensor or the knock sensor module needs to be replaced.

2000 plymouth neon p1899

According to my source, code 1899 is a problem with the governor pressure sensor. But 4 digit codes are model specific, so you may be right about the selector switch.
If the switch tests out to be faulty, it would need to be replaced and the code erased.
