SOURCE: Wiper arm

Lift the black cover located at the end of the wiper (at the cowl panel sort of hinges) use a 13mm socket to loosen the nut. pull the wiper up towards yourself WARNING spring loaded hold on to it!
Sort of wiggle it carfully off of the splined stud. I some times mark the wiper arm location on the window to make reinstall easier. Hope this helps

No Problem! Look down on the Bottom of the Wiper Arm, wher it attaches and Swivels. There is a Small tab that comes off of the Upper Part of the Arm that looks like Two Front Teeth Sticking up just a Little. Take a Pair of Pliers and Pull this Tab Up Towards the Top of the Winshield to Release the Lock on the Arm. then take a Pair of Pliers with Tape on them so that you will not Scratch the Arm and Pull while you Wiggle the Arm right at the Swivel Pont and they will Come off. Please Rate my Response, I need all the Help That I can Get! Thanks!

SOURCE: what is the 94 Chevy Caprice Classic wiper arm

heres a wiper linkage asm diagram, the wiper washers are on the hood or on the cover to deck, then the hose runs through the wiper arm to a nozzle, if you remove the arms you can lift cover enough to look at the hose to washer connection, also check hose to arm they often break there good luck.2d8c418.gif

Take the wiper arms off. Turn your wipers on and let it run a couple of seconds. Turn them off and reconnect the wiper arms where you want them.

I have a 2002 chevy impala,drivers side windshield works great,the passenger side doesn't work at all,help!

You mean wiper arm ? Probably broken wiper arm linkage bushing you can't see , under the cowling . Can you move the passenger wiper arm up an down without much effort ? An not the drivers side ? To see it or get at it you would need to pull wiper arms off an take cowling off to get at it . Remplace a wiper transmission on a 2005 cobalt

Be careful, because the cold really could crack that plastic cowl.... that being said, it isnt too hard of a job.

Take the wiper arms off. 13mm IIRC and ease & coerse them off. A little force may be necessary, but dont overdo it.
There are 3-4? push pin retainers and 2 screws IIRC and the antenna to remove the cowl.
From there you will get the idea. Unplug the wiper motor, unbolt the trans, and go from there.

Can a autolock feature for a 2006 chevy cobalt be disconnected, if so how?

yes, they can you will have to call the dealer for details.. most of the time you thurn the key in the ON posistion and on your wiper arm or turn signal arm by puching it forward or back at you it should bring up a small menu on your dashboard

2006 cobalt wipers dont move. but the moto is running, so how do i get to the wiper rod or motor section to tighten nuts or replace motor at please! please send a pictures etc. too me too. thankyou..

Hello
I would first try to tighten the wiper arms first where the arms bolt to the rods at the cowl remove the plastic caps and tighten the 13mm nuts that hold them down then you might need to adjust them if they wipe past the windshield
Good luck

How do I change wiper blades 2001 Chevy blazer

Open the cap at the end of the windshield wiper arm at the cowl of the Blazer. This will reveal the bolt that secures the wiper arm to the wiper linkage.
Unbolt the wiper arm using a 3/8-inch ratchet and socket. Place the bolt to the side, as you will reuse it later.
Pull the wiper arm up at the blade so that the blade of the wiper is pointing into the air. Then pull at the base of the arm, wiggling it slightly. It's a keyed gear, so it may take a little bit of workunderlined.png?1 to break it free, but with the right amount of wiggling, it will disengage.

The motor runs but the wipers do not move

i just had this same problem with a cobalt. there is a nut. 8mmx1.25 it holds the wiper arms to the motor. you can hear the wiper motor turning, but the wiper arm if you look through the cowel, will not be moving. the best repair is dont put the nut that was on there back on if you can even find it. once you know you have it lined up, so the wipers will work properly, put some lock tight on the nut, and use a 8mmx1.25 nut which i know advanced carries, it also has a nylon piece that will hold the nut on.

I have a 2007 chevy cobalt.I have replaced the wiper motor and it still blowes the 10 amp fuse.when i replaced the motor it worked for a day then it blew the fuse again.

Did you lube all your pivot points & linkage joints while you were at it, if not, that may help. Spray some lube at arm where it pivots near base as well. Are you sure they are the proper size blades, as in someone didn't decide to install bigger or double bladed or similar by chance did they, which would cause more load on motor.

Drivers side wiper quit proper function. Driver side wiper only moves a few inches. Motor probably needs replacement. 99 chevy silverado p/u

some wiper arms fit over a splined pivot post. When you tighten the nut down, the splines cut into the wiper arm thus holding it tight and keeping it from slipping on the post.
You may just need to tighten the wiper arm down r replace the wiper arm. Does it have a cover that you can rotae up and expse the nut?
