Question about 2001 Renault Sportwagon

Renault scenic 2001 2.0 auto. throttle potentiometer fault code coming upm no acceleration and revving high. replaced faulty unit with new one. o.k form 3 weeks. same problem started. erase the code o.k for 1 or 2 days and then starts again. also transmission when you stop completely after about 3 or 4 seconds it jolts. bit of a bang on gearchanges. code for transmission is speed turbine and cant erase it please can someone help me

I would suspect the connector is the problem or the engine harness wiring.

whats else do you expect ,snap on code reader your having a laugh .YOU HONESTLY EXPECT TO READ A RENAULT ???????????????WITH ENCRYPTED SOFTWARE .sounds like an ECU problem but it could be something simple on the fuel injection system but without hearing the noise to know if its air in pump or an electrical buzz .check fuel IN line for ingression of air first ,also check for return in case its blocked causing the pressure to build up to high .call a scrapyard then report vehicle stolen and make a claim .this is a renault remember its designed to be dealer only repairs not weekend mechanics

the vehicle is old enough that the fan blower motor sounds like it is in need of replacing. when you hit the dash it causes the brushes in the motor to contact enough to start the electrical connection, it may stop when it gets hot, or is turned off. the ticking sound is more than likely the bearings wore in the motor enough to cause the cage fan to touch the housing enough to cause the sound.

The track guide that operates the window from the motor is damaged or has jumped track. Remove the inner door panel and operate the window and see which has happened. If it has jumped track check for missing or damaged guide retainers if it is damaged or broken replace it. Normally runs about $15 to $20 for the part. Now if the drive guide is not damaged and it is still not working the gear that drives it is damaged and you will need to replace the motor as this is pressed on and not user replaceable. Good Luck

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls

Renault grand scenic 1.9 sci 2005 accelerator potentiometer fault, check injection light on and in limp mode. Garage tells me wiring as pedal not faulty. Do you have a wiring diagram please

My Renault Megane Scenic S reg heater is not working


Most likely to be a faulty resistor block, which has 3 resistors and a thermal fuse controlling fan speeds 1,2 and 3, maximum speed 4 by-passes the resister block. It may also be poor electrical connections to the resistor block caused by overheating. Renault ask for approximately £350 to carry out repairs, a replacement resistor block will cost £50. If you decide to carry out the repairs yourself, be advised that if you are not competent to carry out such work you, could cause electrical damage or worse an electrical fire.
