SOURCE: whining engine

It could be a pully bearing going bad, or your power stearing pump. next time you start it when it's cold try moving your steering wheel left to righ and see if there is any changes. The next time try removing your belt before you start it and see if the noise goes away. The belt could be warn out and hard itll it warms up and soften up. Start with a new belt. Good luck

SOURCE: whining noise when engaging 1st or reverse.

i had a nissan pickup that would whine in all gears except 4th...it started out with 1st then reverse then went to the rest...solution was new transmission...or rebuild cause the syncronizers or the gears them selves are being chewed up...the new transmission was cheaper then a rebuild. or take it to somewhere that will do free diag on the transmission.

Does a citroen dispatch 1.9 have a non interference engine

It has an interference engine. A broken or slipped timing belt will send the pistons into the valves causing severe engine damage.

So the answer is no.

Where is relay located on citroen dispatch van?

too vague a question without a model, generally 3 locations are possible. Behind cover under steering wheel, behind cover under glove box or in engine compartment under a black rectangular cover.

Hi my c1 has started to make a whining sound (bit like a dog whine) the last couple of days. It tends to get louder and is intermittent, it starts when the engine is fired up (no probs starting engine)...

Have your drive belt replaced (sometimes called the auxiliary or serpentine belt) when it slips it creates a screeching noise and it's also a sign that it's going to fail (snap).
These can run the alternator and power steering so you should change it as a preventative measure.

I have a citroen dispatch and a warning light on the dash keeps coming on, it looks like a shower head, what is this?

Hi, i'm pretty sure that it's the warning light to tell you to drain the water trap on the bottom of the diesel filter.
Hope that helps Matt...
