First disconnect your negative battery cable. Then remove the plastic cover below your steering colum, and the covers that cover your headlight swith, turnsignal switch, ignition, ect. Remove the bolts that hold the steering colum to the dash, and allow it to lay on the drivers seat. Place a towel under the colum (to catch metal shavings), and drill out the two screws that hold the ignition in place.
Install your new ignition in reverse.

1991 Cavalier blower motor is not working. Fuses keep blowing. Is it a short, the blower motor, or a relay switch?

Yes it is a short or a very heavy current draw.
It could be just about anything in the circuit, so you will need to unplug the components one at a time to find the short.
You may need a repair book or shop manual to get the wiring diagram and procedures.

My son lost the key to his 1991 Chevy Cavalier. What's the easiest and cheapest way to get his car going again?

Rip into the stearing column, remove both wires from ignition, put on a push button and use the button to start the car. Becomes easy to steal tho. Maybe hide the button

My 1991 cavalier will run for 20-40 minutes and after running so long it will stall. when you try to turn the car back on it will run until you switch from park to drive, reverse or neutral. What might be...

There's a neutral safety backup combined switch but that's only for the starter.

I think that there's something about the engine that is wrong. Do you have any codes stored in the computer?

Engine wont start

It sounds like the starter solenoid is bad which if I remember correctly my 1991 Cavalier had the solenoid on the starter.I suggest taking off the starter and having it tested. Most auto parts chains(Pep boys,Autozone)will test your starter for free.I this car is equiped with a seperate starter relay this may also be the problem
