We also had a lot of trouble with our 2002 T-bird's climate control. Finally, I replaced the "DUAL COOLANT CONTROL VALVE" and ever since, it's been fine. It's a device located near the front of the engine compartment on the passenger side, kind of hidden a little, down between the engine and the radiator, and has several heater hoses coming and going to it. I was able to change it out at home, but to be honest it was a pain. (Well, maybe that's because I didn't do the major disassembly that the real process called for.) It's function is to blend the temperatures for each side of the interior, and it takes the place of the "blend-door" that most vehicles have, or had, inside the ductwork of the ventilation system. The part was about $120 online, job took me about 2 hours.

SOURCE: 2004 Tbird blowing hot air on passenger side and

From reading an extensive list of people with this problem it can be many things. You may need to have the AC system recharged. There is a recharge post on the passenger side and on the driver side. One of the valves necessary for recharging is right up front on the passenger side. The other recepticle is under the car midway on the drivers side. One thing you should try before assuming this is to cycle the temp. control to maximum and minimum. This may help get the system working again. If not you may need to take it to a service technician that is A/C certified to help you out. If you have further questions or concerns please let me know thanks, Midwest-tek

Passenger side air is cold coming out of dash but the drivers side air is not cold. I need a solution to the problem?

if this has dual climate controls then the drivers side blend door actuator is not working properly. if it is only single climate control then a low freon level can cause the air on the driver's side to be warmer.

2002 Grand Cherokee heater warm on drivers side cold on passanger

generally this is caused by a "blend door " motor (actually a vacuum control) not working. I don't have a diagram on this but if you watch the motors mounted to the heater box under the dash, and operate the control, you likely will find one not moving (check all positions including a/c)
