Question about Chrysler Sebring
Are you sure you put gas in and not diesel.? If the fuel was contaminated you will have to drain and flush the fuel system. Do you have spark at the plugs? Do you have fuel to the rail at the injectors? Have you checked your timing belt??

Testimonial: "I have been working on cars for awhile now. I put gas in not diesel. I have fuel to the rail, I don't have spark to the plugs. This is the first time I have ever had this problem after filling up with gas. I guess I will have to take it and have the timing belt checked. I didn't know that it could jump time if you get water in the gas. Thanks John for the help so far. If you can come up with anything else I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks. Darlene"

check your catalytic converter for clogged up.
disconnect the exhaust pipe before the cat and run the engine to see if it still cut off.
if it run better, then that's the problem

Code 1495 = Leak Detection Pump Solenoid Circuit
Remove the connector from the solenoid (should be on the back wall, just to the drivers side of the air-hat). You will have the solenoid to check and the harness. What you want to measure is the voltage coming from the harness and the resistance of the solenoid.
Turn the key to the "ON" position but do not start the motor; the voltage at the connector should be at least 10V or more,.now, check the resistance of the solenoid (should be around 35 ohms).

The fuel pump relay is located under the dash on the drivers side. The fuel pump relay is green and it should be next to a brown relay for the ignition.
