Question about 2005 BMW X5

BMW X3 2.0D , unable to view radio display and clock

I turned my radio off, when my bluetooth was paired with my iPhone to hear my reversing sensor clearly. However, when I tried to turn it on later it wouldn't turn on. My radio can't be used or opened and I can't answer calls because my device is paired. How do I fix the radio display?

If you look in the front fuse box there should be a fuse associated with the sound system. what u need to do is take out all the fuses that have radio/cd changer and navsystem*(if there is satnav). You need to take all these fuses out check them. if they are all good clean the contact with a bit of still wool and wipe them, then just put them back in. you have to have all of them out before you replace them. it should work fine after that.

The radio on my bmwx3 stops working when bluetooth mode is activated on my phone.

Most BMWs have this feature on the bluetooth options to allow you to hear when talking on the phone.. you may be able to find out how to change this in your owner's manual in the radio chapter.

Hmmm. The unit that calculates the fuel is under the back seat base. There are two level sensors under covers on either side. Could be that you have a trapped wire shorting and when you go into reverse the back axle just momentarily jogs the shorted wire. I'd look at the wiring there.

Finding the PIN to pair My iphone with 2006 BMW 750i.

I have the same car. The dealership wanted to charge me $155 to go into the computer and give me the passkey.

One of the techs just told me how to find it myself:

Inside the trunk, on the left side behind the DVD player, there is a box that sits at a 45 degree angle. Right above that box, there is a box that is shaped like a VHS tape. Unscrew that box and on the other side you will see bluetooth PK: and your four digit number.

That saved me $155 dollars and now I can talk hands free through my car.

I nned to know how to set up bluetooth in my car. it has all the functions on the steering wheel but I dont know how to set it all up . I also cannot find my manual !

You need to have the Bluetooth code (a four digit number that should be with your vehicle documents)
- Turn Bluetooth at your phone.
- With the car ignition key at Position 0 (Off), pressand hold the phone key on your steering wheel.
- Whilst still holding the phone key down, turn the ignition key to position 1.
- release the phone key after about 3 seconds.
- The car display should then show "BLUETOOTH PAIRING" or similar.
- Search for new bluetooth devices with your phone.
- When the BMW unit is detected, select and enter the 4 digit PIN.
- Your phone should now work via the cars Bluetooth interface

if you have a bluetooth phone paired to the vehicle, try deleting all bluetooth devices. Sometimes a battery reset can cause bluetooth synchronizing issues.
