SOURCE: My 1991 chevy k1500 runs fine when cold but when

hi, the problem you are having sounds to me like the oxygen sensor " or lambda sensor for its real name" has failed and needs replacing the reason it points towards this being the fault is that the oxygen sensor only starts working once the engine reaches a certain temp so if your car runs perfect from cold but plays up when warm then this is a good indication that the oxygen sensor needs replacing.

Let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

SOURCE: car runs fine when cold, when warm it stalls

My first guess is a vacuum leak or maybe a defective IAC. Tests need to be run to narrow the search down.

1991 Ford F-350 runs rough at cold start, dies if gas peddle depressed?

because the combustion inside the engine is going wrong the quantity of air getting inside is not the needed quantity maybe less than or more in cold will cause such problem once the engine warm up than the engine temperature is up you will not find this problem because the point of firing will be near

Pontiac Codes P0300 and P0133 when cold won't start unless you punch the gas

White smoke in the exhaust is a sign of water in the engine. What is the level of the radiator? You may need a new head gasket or heads.

I start the car and it runs fine but in 5 sec it dies, the car ran just fine on friday night and now tuesday it has this symptom. It was also very cold this weekend

It is possible that you have some water in your fuel. If so, it can freeze if the weather is cold enough and prevent fuel from getting to your engine. If you can somehow warm the car up a bit, you can put some methyl or even better isopropyl alcohol in the fuel and run it for a while. Note that if it IS ice, it will go away as soon as the weather warms up enough. But it is a good idea to run some methyl or isopropyl alcohol, even if you do get it started when the weather warms up, so it doesn't happen again. It is very unlikely to get water in your fuel at a gas station. It happens due to condensation in the gas tank if you don't fill it up every time you get gas. If you keep it fairly low all the time, it will take a lot of moisture from the air. The methyl or isopropyl alcohol will blend with the water and allow it to burn off.

Rough start, smell gas

For the RPM's jumping up and down i would replace the throttle position sensor. If it smells like bad gas or rotten eggs these are signs that the cat. converter is going bad. For the poor gas mileage replace the fuel filter.

i had the same problem happen to me. i had to change the injectors and the injector pump to solve the problem. i would check the lift pump first. when the engine is cold it hasnt had time to pressurize the line.does it restart and run fine when it is warm. if so i would change the lift pump. if not i would have a pressure test done on it. i hope this helps

Low oil pressure, oil smells like gas

You can find the year of vehicle on the panel of the door when you open it...along with the weight etc...it's okay for your oil to smell like gas, mine does also. My oil pressure runs right in the middle of the gauge, tell me what your oil pressure normally runs after truck has warmed up.
