Question about 1996 Chevrolet Camaro
When I shift the car it starts shaking like its not getting enough power or something. I went from 1st gear into second and it started shaking and then died. It starts fine but when I went to shift again it did the same thing accept this time I was able to keep it on by giving it more gas, it started jerking more and the check engine light came on, blinking for about a minute then it went solid. What is wrong with my car????
The "blinking" service engine light is indicating an over fueling problem that can damage the catalytic converter.
You will need to have the codes read to narrow the problem down.
I would suggest you not drive the vehicle as you may cause unnecessary damage to the emission system (convertor) and added expense to repair.
Let me know.

Im not a guru but i had a similar problem with my camaro and it was not firing in the #1 cilindar, coil pack went out. you could try to start the car and unplug the wires from the coil pack to see if it makes a difference. if there is no difference then there is somthing wrong with that cylinder. plug, wire, coil or the firing plate. cheep and easy way to check, good luck
