The ignition module probly bad-replaces points and located in distributer area--batt must also read 12.6v and alternator must be healthy--fuses may not all be good--take a light tester to um--make sure inline safety fuse on the batt line is workn

SOURCE: intermitent starting
sometimes the ais(automatic idle speed) valve gets loaded with
carbon. its an easy fix. you have to remove the throttle body
invert it and you will see the ais chamber and look in and see if it is
built up with soot. carb cleaner should work.if you can remove
the valve for better cleaning. peterjai

Has any one soled this yet???????? Because I have the the same prob. but mine is only when it is could out blow 65 it will start but I have to keep my foot on the gas like a carb with no choke

This will be caused by a faulty distributor coil. You may want to swap the coil and observe how it goes.

i have a 1996 jeep grand cherokee and im not getting spark to the plugs.i replaced the crankshaft sensor and ignition coil already and still having problem.if i replace the camshaft sensor would that fix the problem ??? Or what should i do ???
