Question about 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer
Mitsubishi Lancer GLX RDH 4 DR Sedan Singapore 2002/12. Engine 4G18.
Always need to keep foot on the gas to start/idle and use both brake and gas when engine is not fully warmed up.
If adjusting the air control valve on the throttle didn't help:
1. Please clean your air filter with carburetor cleaner. You can purchase any carburetor cleaner on any auto supply shop.
2. Check your fuel filter. There could be some dirt that is blocking the fuel line.
3. Check your fuel pump if the pressure produce is still enough.
4. Lastly, check your EGR (Engine Gasoline Regulation) sensor, it is near the throttle body. If this is bad, the gasoline is not regulated that is why you need to step on the gas so that engine would not turn off. Before your replace it make sure that the electrical wires are all connected and is not broken.
