2010 ford fusion hyprid power steering went out

Power Steering - Hybrid The electric power assist steering system consists of:
  • power steering control module
  • electric motor
  • torque sensor
  • rack-and-pinion steering gear
The electric power steering system provides power steering assist to the driver by replacing the conventional hydraulic valve system with an electric motor coupled to the steering gear. The motor is controlled by an electronic control unit that senses the steering effort through the use of a torque sensor mounted between the steering column shaft and the steering gear. Steering assist is provided in proportion to the steering input effort and vehicle speed.

your best bet would be to have the ford dealer check it out !

2013 Chevy Cruze 2lt 1.4L 6 speed Turbo, where is the power steering reservoir?

check your manual on fuses. if you find a fuse for pwrstrg, then you don't have a reservoir for it. it means your power steering is electrically assisted. an electric motor is hidden underneath your dash attached to your steering column.

How to add power steering fluid on a Pontiac g6 2006

It may not have Hydraulic Power Steering , could be Electronic Power Steering .If you look up under the dash under the steering column an see a electric motor on the steering column, well then you have electric power steering ! If hydraulic look at the driver side of the engine , it runs off the cam shaft ! GM had a recall on the electric power steering a few years back ! Good luck ,hope this helps you out .

Where is the fuse location for electric steering for 2005 Saturn Vue

The power steering fuse is part of the ignition fuse, it uses power from ignition to engage power relay system on steering column next to the electric powersteering motor. Check the two wire port for ground and power with vehicle running. Mostly all saturns with electric power steering are all under a safety recall, with free replacement.

What will happen to your car if a ground wire is loose

Whatever part, motor, or electrical load that ground is for will not work. For instance, a motor is an electrical load, put power to it -it won't operate without a path to ground after the load. A lighting bulb is an electrical load. Send power to it. and the bulb won't light, power will not travel through the bulb filament making it bright, without a path to ground after the bulb. Every electrical load has to have a path to ground, or it will not work-the reason for the term "circuit"-every wiring circuit (starting circuit, light circuit, ignition circuit, etc.) begins at the power source and ends at the power source. The ground completes the circuit back to earth (ground), and as you know, all grounds go to metal frame, and thus go back to the battery. If the circuit is not complete, the electrical load will not operate. See?

I need to put steering wheel fluid for my 05 chevy equinox don't know where to put it in. Can someone please help me?...

2005-2009 models used electric power steering assist exclusively. There is mo power steering pump, reservoir, or fluid on these models. Instead they use an electric motor mounted to the steering column to provide steering assist 2010 models still use the electric power steering on the four cylinder models but also use a conventional hydraulic power steering on the v-6 models. If you have no power steering assist check the 60 amp main fuse for the power steering in the under hood fuse block if that is o.k. You will need a scan tool to find out what is wrong with the system. It is not uncommon for the electric motors to fail or for the fuse to blow while jump starting the vehicle.

Convert window from manual to electric

You would need electrical know how to use the fuse block to get power. Otherwise get power directly from the battery but go through an inline fuse about 20 amps. The fuse needs to be at the battery that way if there is a short power stops before you start a fire!
