2013 Chevy 3500 Duramax LML, data log the turbo vane position and we found when the commanded position is 0% the actual goes down to about 22% and when it is commanded to 100% the actual goes up to about 84% Shouldn't these be much closer?

very, very seldom does the oil get get in the coolant, it is almost always the other way around, coolant in the oil, I have 35 years of experience to back me up on this. The problem is almost certain to be leaky head gaskets, one or both, but they should be done together anyway.

87 thunderbird turbo coupe misfire from idle until 3g then hitting boost n runs smooth

check that the turbo is actually working at the lower rpms.check to see if it is a variable vane turbo where the vanes for the turbine wheel can be altered to produce boost at lower rpms. The vanes are controlled by a actuator on the turbo and is controlled by a vacuum hose controlled by the ECM. The misfiring may be actually over fuelling ( mixture too rich as the boost is too low for the mixture)

Hello, i have a Chevy 7.2 Duramax turbo diesiel.

Is the cooling fan working, and pulling air thru the radiator ?
And is the cooling system full ?

I sure hope you are not Towing in OVERDRIVE...

If a P2563 is found, it may be caused by an unstable Solenoid Control Valve (SCV). Unstable SCV operation may be induced by engine debris or sludge. To diagnose an unstable SCV complete the procedure below.

Test the VPS (Vane Position Sensor) operation. Actuate the VPS plunger and monitor the sensor voltage on the Tech 2. The VPS body should be grounded during this test. Touch the brass body of the VPS to the turbo center housing to complete the ground. Voltage should go from 4.9v to 0.25v as the plunger is depressed. If the sensor operates correctly, go to next step, or replace the VPS as necessary.

Note: It's normal for voltage to jump back to 4.9v if the plunger is completely depressed.

Command turbo vane position from 10% to 90%, back and forth, several times. During each cycle, monitor the actual turbo vane position sensor reading. The vane position should reach the desired position, and hold steady. If vane position oscillates back and forth more than 5% before stabilizing at the desired position, replace the solenoid control valve.

Note: Debris or sludge build up in the SCV can cause the valve's stability to deteriorate. This can be aggravated by not following oil change intervals and/or extended idling in combination with use of biofuels.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.

2002 chevy 3500 duramax 6.6 ran hot now cranks but won't start

Check spark plugs, leads, distributor cap & rotor arm, fuel pump, fuel filter, coil pack(s), relays, replace any items that are suspect IE Fuel filter which has probably not been changed since new even though they should be changed on all vehicles every 18 months, all of this can be done at home & will save you a lot of bucks in mechanic/garage fees,

I have a 2002 chevy silverado 3500 with a duramax that was flooded and now i can't get running .I have changed all the electronic modules and fixed all the codes that was found ,changed injection pump and...

From personal experience, You have to unplug every single plug/connector and clean up with electrical contact cleaner. This is a pain in the you know what but, In the end I found about 5 connections that were shorted out, or filled with corrosion. Try this and please let me know how you make out.
