SOURCE: Engine stops while driving & engine revs high between gear change

hi i am dieter
im dave

here is something to try
keep some cold water with you and the next time it happens very quickly get out and pour the water on the crankshaft sensor then restart. If it starts right away without the usual two minutes than you will need to change this sensor. The sensor is easy to find you will see a wiring harness around the crankshaft pulley(the large one at the bottom the basically runs all your accessories like the p/s pump, alternator, water pump). Try to famaliarize yourself as to the location of the sensor first so that you can try to restart it within about 30 seconds.

First off have a load test done on the battery as there is a dead cell evident. Run fault codes and look for a problem TCM (transmission control module) which may be affected by the battery fault. Have a pressure test done on the transmission to check for internal problems. Check oil level when hot.

Tune-up of the motor is only spark plugs & all
vehicles have been tuned by the computer for over
30 years, so forget that
The code may very well we an internal trans issues
Go to Google as well as You Tube Video for the answer
to the PO732 It's all there if you play with the sites
Hope you know changing trans fluid does not fix anything,
only gives you clean fluid & on a trans that slips, pretty much
ends it' life until rebuilt

I have Kia Rio 2004. It made only 62000 Km. The manual says change the timing belt every 96000km or 60 months. Should I change it now?

I would go ahead and replace it. Just to be safe, it's better to do it now, then when it breaks.

I have a kia rio 2001 the car shakes when i drive it. seems that it does not go into gears, it has no power.

AUTO GEAR THE SERVICE MANUAL DOES NOT REQUIRE TO CHANGE GEAR OIL AND FILTER ,BUT TIME AND USAGE OF THE CAR MAKES THE OIL FITLY AND EVAPORATE EVEN IN CLOSE GEARS.SO CHANGING REFRESH THE GEAR SHIFTING USUALLY SOLVES THE PROBLEM IF ITS NO TOO LATE ADV. CHANGE GEAR OIL EVERY OTHER SERVICE SCHEDULE.
