Steering wheel is probably in locked position. Grasp steering wheel and tryturning it slightly in either direction as you attempt to turn key.

If you mean went out by accessories turn on but ignition will not engage then yes...go to car parts store and pick up a push button start... key must be in accessory mode for the starter to fire the car..ie fuel pump on, engine computer, etc all controlled by accessory mode.

Ignition key will not turn when you insert into key slot to start. Not even for accessory mode

May need to replace...but first try spraying a little PB Blaster on key and into key slot to lubricate...other solutions may damage...but PB Blaster will make cleaner connections and movement...Hope this helps.

Make sure your steering wheel isn't locked. Sometimes a key won't turn until you jiggle the wheel while trying to turn the key.

2002 chevy venture not starting, fuel pump not working security light is on. is this the pass lock or maybe something else?

YEP IF YOU SEE SECURITY LIGHT FLASHING YOUR CAR IS IN THEFT SECURITY MODE WHICH WILL SHUT DOWN FUEL SYSTEM. HAVE VECHICLE CODE SCAN PROBLEM IN THE BCM MODULE.IT WILL TURN OFF FUEL IF IGNITION KEY HAS IN CORRECT RESISTANCE OR KEY WORN OUT.MAKE SURE YOU HAVE FACTORY IGNITION KEYS.DONT GO TO HARD WARE STORES GET EXTRA KEYS MADE.BECAUSE IF BCM ECM AND IMMOBILIZER CANT READ KEY CODE RESISTANCE WHICH NOT IN A REGULAR KEY IT WILL SHUT DOWN FUEL SYSTEM AND CAR WILL GO IN THEFT SECURITY MODE.YOUR PROBLEM IS DEALERSHIP FIX.

After changing the ignition switch, now the car won't start, or even click when turning the key. What do I do now?

Changing the ignition switch breaks the communication between the key, ignition, and TDM (theft deterrent module). With out these three parts communicating, the vehicle goes into antitheft mode and turns off the starter. Read about it thru this link, also offers ways to fix yourself. http://vatspasslockpasskeysecurityhelp.yolasite.com/

This happened to to me with my ranger. I went and bought in ignition and a junk yard and no problems after that. That way your not out of a lot of money.
