Question about Cars & Trucks

2001 vw golf mk4 1.6 16v coolant leak from underneath the drivers side door, literally central as you look underneath from drivers side, is leaking from a strut where four tubes appear, one small clear tube an 3 small blue tubes that run along centrally underneath and down along the drivers side. Had recently cured a radiator leak with k seal. please any ideas why the leak is pouring from this point and not from underneath the engine..

SOURCE: Central locking problem:- doors locking

The central locking system is controlled by the ecu, simply a common fault, disconnect the passenger door terminal to the lock and see what happens if the other doors lock normally then this confirms that there could be a fault in the wiring loom or relay if the doors unlock after locking then its a ecu problem. See an auto electrician
Regarding the water consunption what colour is the oil hope its not cream, radiator cap may need replacing as it could be blowing the water out, if the reseviour bottle is always full then this confirms it..Hope this helps you out

Leak under vw new beetle 2001 not oil

Place packing paper underneath the car where it is leaking to capture some of the fluid and take that to a mechanic.

Coolant/stop sign coming on

It sounds like your thermostat is not opening. You can take the hose off which contains the thermo and remove the thermo. Now there should be nothing keeping the coolant from circulating except the radiator which may be pluged.

You now will not get heat but this will get you to the garage. Let me know it this does not work,

My VW Golf (2001) leaks when it rains, leaks above my sun guard, around the sun roof & rear pannel on the drivers door. Why?

the weather striping sounds like it needs to be replaced they get brittle and dont seal as they should next time you go out to look at it see if there are any cracks or if it is hard and worn it also could have just simply slid and if thats the case most times you can slide it back

Coolant leak in VW Golf mark 5 1.9 TDi auto DSG

There is, however, an air outlet into the driver's foot area. If the heater core is leaking, the air coming through the heater core will carry the droplets into the entire air ducting system. The driver's foot area may be the closest outlet. If it smells like coolant, you need to replace the heater core regardless of where in the cabin the coolant is coming out.

Vw polo drivers side floor wet, front and back?

Do you smell a sweet odor? like from the coolant in your radiator?
Your heater core may be leaking coolant into the car.
Or your front window or door seals may be leaking.

Golf 1.4 99 ..central locking not working

Can you operate the central locking once inside the car? Does your interior light come on when you open the drivers side door? If those are both the case, then you may have a bad door microswitch. If your car can't detect your drivers side door being closed, the central locking will not operate from the keyfob. If the microswitch is bad, you may need to take it to a garage to have it serviced as the procedure is complicated. See this website for details:
