Heat gauge reads hot but engine is not hot.

There may be two heat or temp sensors, one for the gauge, and one for the computer. You could also have damaged insulation on the wire leading from the sensor to the gauge. You should be able to ground the wire on the engine, and the gauge should shoot to HOT very quickly, if the wire and gauge are good AND you are on the correct sensor.

I suspect that the insulator that seals the selector lever to the floor and the lever inside the car is allowing engine heat ,road heat to enter the cab past the gear lever. IT is common problem if the insulator rots or is not replaced after gear box removal say for clutch replacement.

Heater a/c control unit not working

1: engine not hot, not 180f min. and holding (y/n)
2: cab fan dead.
3: heater core not hot, (feel the hose there both must be hot)
4: damper stuck closed blocking heater core.

I do not get any heat in the rear of my 2002 Dodge Grand caravan sport. The front of van takes a long time to heat up but, heat will work after a long time. Is my rear heater core bad?

Uncover it and see if it is hot if it does your fan or switch needs replacing if it's cold and the engine is hot. diconnect hoses when ciold and put them in bucket and have someone start car and put on rear heat if water flows flush out core or replace if it doesn't flow switch is not opening vale or valve bad. I would think there is no valve and there is hot water to the unit all the time. There my be a door that opens and closes like the front heating system12_12_2011_4_57_51_pm.jpg

No heat, heater core inlet is hot outlet is cold

Try replacing your thermostat..also you should have a heater lever switch that manually controls the heating unit bolted onto your firewall. Follow your heater hose that's connected from your engine to the firewall. The unit that your lever is connected to is your heater switch. Look for a cable that pulls the unit..... It may be broken..Check it out and LMK how it turns out>>Good Luck!

Is there any advise to improve gas efficient, what about replace air filter hose system

NO NO NO, to replacing the air filter system. There is a lot miss leading information as to the "Cold air intake systems" We have tested and shown our clients that not very many work, and most are all "HYPE"! We have used temp reading equipment and monitored the temp from the air cleaner to the intake manifold. We found the stock equip was far cooler (60 DEGREES) than the "cold air systems" THEY WERE USING OR WANTING TO USE. The main reason for this, they where not properly insulating the tube. The cold air tube was absorbing the HOT air from under the hood, and the outside temp flowing through it was not cooling it off, like the factory one does. If done properly, the temp would be much cooler, but there is no aftermarket companys that send the insulation package with the cold air system. We have used insulation from a local heating/air condition company that they use on duct work. This made a significant difference in temp from the outside air to the throttle body, and made it a REAL COLD AIR SYSTEM. Keep the tires properly inflated, get a 4 wheel alignment to insure the tires are rolling straight and true, keep the filters clean, switch to a synthetic oil, wax the exterior of the vehicle for less wind resistance,( ever seen a high speed car dirty?) push on the gas pedal when taking off, and letting the vehicle coast down when coming to stop, using less brakes. Hope this help you

2002 Nissan Altima - Heat doesn't get hot and doors get stuck

Did the switch break because it was stuck? If so, then yes, they will have to change actuators and doors. Does the fan work on all speed setting? If so then you do not need a blower resistor. The resistor pack only controls the current flow to change speeds of the fan.
