Question about 2004 Cadillac Deville
Well depends on the engine option on most cars.
about 1/2 the cars made have the fuel test port on the rail.
(others a plug and you get to buy one)
many finer cars have scharder valve. looks like a tire valve)
some cars have custom valve, i trash these, and install above.)
just look , there, see it, i cant look.
there are many tests, not just 1, sorry. IT IS EFI ! and all that...
ill just list them. it's in the book factory FSM, or alldata dot com.
you can read that. its no secret.
1: connect fuel pressure gage to the test port (100psi meter)
2: measure key on pressure and is it spec, key on 3 to 5 times.
3: start car, it will read different pressure (drops) this is regulated pressure , caused by the regulator device.
4: do an injector balance test.
5:do an injector leak down test.
all this is covered in FSM, why not get one.?
they also cover safety, how not to catch on fire.
the depressurization steps for servicing parts.
are you asking us to print the book pages, its a huge section.
you can go to on line EFI school and learn the ropes first.
ASE school. its all there.
