I just got new tires on my 2005 Ford freewstar Why is the tire reset tire light flashing

Yes, you probably need to reset it. Make sure tires are properly aired up.
I have this reset procedure.
Key on engine off, Repeatedly press the reset button below the tach until the tire reset or similar message is displayed. Press the button for three seconds until the tpms icon flashes 3 times to confirm learned values have been erased, and the system is waiting to learn. Drive the vehicle for 20 minutes in mostly steady, straight line conditions in the following speed ranges.
25--42mph
42--62mph
over 62 mph
This procedure should be in your owners manual.

The words tire reset keep on popping up on my dashboard. What does that mean, and how do I get rid of it? 2004 Ford Freestar.

With and without "Mesage Center" respectively (pretty sure)

With the engine on...

Push "Setup" button, until your driver display says something like "Press Reset for system check".

Then push Reset. The system check will start, rotating through a series of checks.

About the fifth or sixth check will be the tire pressure. The system will sound the tone (same one that starts w/the light) and It'll say something like "Check Tires Pressure" on that moment press and hold for 3 or 4 seconds Reset. When you release the Reset button It'll show "Hold Reset if tires are OK". While that's up, hold the Reset button. After 3 or 4 seconds, the tire warning light will blink 2 or 3 times and then will stop .You need to be ready for it, because you don't get very long to release.

How to reset the low tire pressure warning if the vehicle does not have the "Message Center"

Turn the ignition to the ON position,
depress and Trip/odometer button (located in the instrument cluster) until "TIRE RESET" or "CHECK TIRE AND RESET" is displayed in the odometer display window.
Once "TIRE RESET" or "CHECK TIRE AND RESET" is displayed, press and hold the button for three seconds.
The low tire warning indicator light will flash three times as the low tire warning system begins to initialize.

This information is in the Owners Manual

Hope it helps

Waht is the symbol that looks like a tire and what is the reset tire on the odometer

That symbol is for the "TMPS". Tire pressure monitoring system.

Check that all tire pressures are ok. Check the sticker inside the drivers door jamb for the correct pressure.

To reset it turn the key to 'on', use the button near the odometer and cycle to 'reset tire' then hold the button until it clears.

My Ford Freestar Minivan is reading RESET TIRE where the milage should show. What do I do?

I believe that one of your tires is low on air causing the pressure monitor to kick in. Check all your tires to make sure the inflated to the proper PSI which will be located on one of the door jambs

Reset tire th

It's also a good idea to reset the tire pressure sensors when you air up the tires. If I remember correctly, you click the odometer/trip meter switch until it flashes TIRE RESET (or something similar) then press the button and hold it for a few seconds. That way it sets itself to the pressure in the tires at the moment, and if it notices a pressure drop it puts up a warning.
