Look for a hole you can fit the square end of a ratchet in. Should be a 3\8 or 1\2 inch drive. Or it's a pulley with a spring in it. It will look like it's on a lever type thingy. Just put a wrench on the bolt in the middle of the pulley turn to the left, bolt turns, wrong one, pulley moves, right one. Don't forget to take a pic of the belt so you know how to put it back on.

How to tighten serpentine belt on 2003 mercedes e320

Most serpentine belts are adjusted on the idler pulley. Undo the nut holding the pulley on just enough to allow the pulley to slide up or down At the rear if the pulley bracket look for an adjuster screw parallel to the pulley screw this up or down to adjust the tension. When done retighten the pulley nut.

How do I remove the belt so I can remove the Water Pump?

If you are referring to serpentine belt, Thisis how to do it. Lift the hood and prop it open. Find thelock nut on the serpentine belt and use a wrench to loosen it. Turn the adjustment bolt counterclockwiseto remove the serpentine belt. This bolt is located under the water pump hose.Remember how you remove the belt so that you can reroute the new beltcorrectly. Install the new serpentine belt by securingit on the pulleys in the same route as the old belt. Check the belt routing onthe underside of the hood to make sure you get it right. Create tension in the back of the belt byturning the adjustment bolt clockwise. Check that the belt is on each pulleyproperly. The belt should be centered on each pulley, not on the edge.Tightenthe lock nut to secure the serpentine belt in place.

Ho to replace serpentine belt. cant find anything

There probably won't be any adjustments. Serpentine Belts have be used for 25 or 26 years to my memory ,and have spring loaded tensioners to keep belt tight. So I quess your new to the car world. You release the tension with a long 1/2" Drive ratchet or tool specific for belt replacement. If you need to buy any tools you don't have, your better off leaving it to the pros

Adjust tension on fan belt

Your '90 Benz has a belt tensioner that is automatic. You just insert the correct tool to ease the tensioner pulley, (The tool is inserted into the bracket for the tensioner pulley), to the left as you're facing the car. Then slip your serpentine belt off. Reinstallation is a reversal of this process. (I believe it's to the left, don't quote me on that)

The radiator support in front, should have a diagram of how the serpentine belt goes on the pulleys.

If your serpentine belt slips, then the belt tensioner pulley assembly is bad, needs to be replaced, or the serpentine belt itself is worn out.
