Question about 2006 Volvo XC90
When the engineis running, there is a loud humming noise that is coming from the small stainless cylinder that is connected to the air cleaner by a hose. What does the small cylinder do? What could the noise be? It just started yesterday.
It sounds like the cylinder is part of the emission control system. It is probably a valve which is stuck inside. Remove it and clean it with wd-40. If this doesn't work, let me know.
