Question about 1999 Dodge Grand Caravan

1 Answer

I have a 1996 Dodge Grand Caravan ES, which the cruise control does not work. I tried to find if a fuse was blown but could not find a cruise control fuse or relay indentified in the fuse box in the engine compartment. When I pust the ON/OFF button no light comes on and the cruise control will not engage. Any ideas or help would be very welcome. Thank You for your time and efforts.

There was a recall on the clockspring. If you havent replaced it, that could be the problem. you can have it done at a dealership free of charge.

I have a dodge caravan 2002 and my cruise control and horn don't work anymore, Can someone please help?

sounds like a blown fuse. check your owner's manuel for fuse location and check the fuse. If it is not the fuse then it may be a broken or crimped wire...that will take more investigation...

The front a/c blower does not work, all fuses are good. please help

J, I am sending you some info to read but it appears that the most likely cause is the blower motor relay. Give the following notes a read and if you need some more help give me a buzz... Best of Luck..

1996 Chrysler Town & Country 3.3L, Vin R 1996 Dodge Grand Caravan ES 3.8L, Vin L 1996 Chrysler Town & Country LX 3.3L, Vin R 1996 Dodge Grand Caravan LE 3.8L, Vin L 1996 Dodge Caravan LE 3.8L, Vin L 1996 Dodge Grand Caravan SE 3.3L, GAS, Vin R, Eng Cfg V6 1996 Dodge Caravan Sport 3.3L 1996 Plymouth Grand Voyager SE 3.3L, GAS, Vin R, Eng Cfg V6 1996 Dodge Grand Caravan ES 3.3L, Vin R 1996 Plymouth Voyager Rallye 3.3L Customer Concern: Front blower does not work; no power to it. Fuse is OK. Tests/Procedures: 1. At the blower motor, there is a Dark Blue wire. This wire should have battery voltage whenever the key is in the "on" position. Power for the blower motor comes from the blower relay.

2. Access the front blower relay, it is located on the driver's side under the dash, near the junction block. There will be four wires going to it. The Dark Green wire should have battery voltage all the time. The Dark Blue wire is going to the motor. The Black/Orange wire should have battery voltage with the key in the "on" position. The Black wire should be grounded at all times. On this circuit, the relay is energized whenever the key is in the "on" position. Potential Causes: Front Blower Relay
Front Blower Relay Wiring
Heater Ventilation Air Conditioner (HVAC) Control Head
Tech Tips: The front blower relay is located under the dash, on the driver's side. It may be necessary to remove the junction block (fuse and relay box) in order to see it. Diagnostic Codes: None

Is there a fuse for the cruise control on a 1997 Dodge Grand Caravan? Mine doesn't work. Also, my airbag light is on. Can I turn this off?

To turn off Air Bag light needs to be reset by a shop or dealer (Fed safety standards) and there should be a fuse for cruise control. If you don't have manual showing all fuses it's pull each one and inspect.

I have a 2006 dodge grand caravan and i cant find but only one fuse box and it is the relay box under the hood. does anyone know if there is another one and where it is? My cruise control light comes on...

The circuit diagram that I have. Only shows the 1
fuse/relay block, under the hood on the left fender.
Fuse #24 a 20amp fuse is for the cruise ctl. But the way it appears to be wired. If the fuse is blown the
light should not be working. Try checking for vacum
at the servo unit. It's a diaphram with a small chain
that go's to the throttle assy. It's mounted on the rear
(drivers side)of the engine. Also check for vacum
leaks at the vacum chamber. The chamber is at the
bottom of the battery box. You can also check the
brake light switch, This can shut off the cruise cont.
if it sends a signal that the brake peddle is depressed
The switch is located at the top of the brake peddle.
Hope this helps.

Your vehicle has a defective clock spring that is located under the steering wheel assembly, and replacing this part will cure the problem.
