This is actually meant for someone who knows stuff about dirtbikes... im lookin into fixin up a 79 husqvarna 250cc dirt bike, and i am wondering if someone could tell me, should i just tear it a part and put it back together, engine and all, or should i try to just fix specific problems? it sat for fifteen years so im assuming the tear down is my best bet... just curious, thanks much :) oh and sorry for misleading, the computer doesnt make this getting aholod of the right person easy

If it's sat for 15 years, whether it's a dirt bike or a car, you should definately see if it runs first....

If it DOES run...then I would do some maintenance.

If it DOESN'T run, then it's wise to just check a few things first.

Water in the gas tank? Spark plug giving spark? Does it try to turn over? Is there oil?

If if seems effed, then just tear it down...it's cheaper to rebuild it in the long run, then to fix piece by piece, and end up fixing things that didn't need to be fixed.

I've never owned, ridden, or worked on a dirtbike. It's just all common sense.

Start with someone who can follow a wiring diagram and an ignition system troubleshooting/diagnostic procedure. Lot of fancy stuff on a Nissan ignition system, but wonderful when they work right. I own an '87 Sentra without a lot of fancy ignition stuff, but have had to take out a one month subscription to Mitchell 1's online DIY auto repair site ($16.99), to find information that actually applies to my car and its somewhat primitive ECU. A Chilton repair manual was totally useless, bogus information. Now I've almost got it running right, but only ten days left on my subscription! They have annual rates, too, at I think, $26.99.

My 93 rm 250 started smoking heavy and loss power and is shooting oil in my air filter box

if a four cycle engine I would say either you have a lot of work ahead or engine replacement. The only way to find out is boroscope the cylinder to see for piston damage. or total teardown for rod damage. I think you blew it up.

I have a 99 suburban just replaced the dis cap rotor plugs wires fuel pump fuel filter fuel relay. It ran great after all this then it will start running rough and die if i let it sit for awhile it will...

Hi, I believe you hit the nail on the head. Black stuff in the filter Meaning that there is something in the tank. You have to drop the tank and clean it out. Good luck.

Lookin for Mazda6 3.0L V6 Year 2005 Automatic Workshop Manual on DVD. H.Karlsson hk@heimsnet.is

My Mazda is a 3.0L V6 Year 2005 Grand Touring not 2003.
What I was looking for is if I could buy a Worskhop Manual, printed or on DVD.
The car is in good shape even for 128000 miles because I take good care of it.
The Workshop Manual is meant for future maintenance.
Best Regards
