You might have an A/c Leak and not have anymore Freon in the system. I would take the CR-V to a shop that deals and is certified with A.C and have them Test your system.

To reset maintenance light, first you need to reset trip A to zero (0) and reset trip B to zero (0) then while hold the reset button in, turn your ignition key to accessories and keep hold for about 5 second the light will flash couple times then go out. If the light won't go out on the first try then repeat the procedures again the light will go out then after that you can check the AC.

2002 PT Cruiser AC blows hot. Wont hold coolant- mechanic says it's leaking into dash. There is no light on dash indicating problem. Should I pour some sealer in?

the evaporator is the ac cooling part that is in the dash.if it starts to leak the only solution is to replace the evaporator. this requires dash removal. adding any sealer will ultimately cause problems with compressor valves and expansion/orfice tubes. [ don't do it...]

Replaced compressor on 2007 Kia Sereno and compressor wont kick on. What's the problem? Please help.

ac compressors are controlled by relays , switches , high and low pressure switches and fuses
replacing the ac compressor will require the gas charge to be administered as too little or too much will affect the high/low pressure switches
have it inspected by an accredited ac specialist shop for a proper diagnosis and a quote

I have indica dls 2010 car. compressor is not switcing on even i swith on the ac button . i disconnect the compressor wire and connected a wire from battory (+)to compressor. the compressor is on but even...

Hi Ravi,

yes when you connected the + wire to battery it wont turn off by using ac switch.
please un do the thing you done.
i think the problem is your system is out of gas or gas pressure drops required level.or bad timer relay unit .
the system has pressure cut out and if you are out of gas it shuts down the compressor and it is safty for compressor too.

The air condition wont turn on. The windows dont work, and the spedometer doesnt work

This just happened to me yesterday. First, push the AC button to turn the AC off. Then, find the fuse pannel on the driver's side under the dash. Mine is behind the ash tray. Replace the 10 amp fuse (marked fuse #18 on my 1995 Camry manual) and the windows, spedo, tach, etc will come back on. My problem is the bearings on my AC clutch heated up a plastic piece between the AC clutch and AC compressor and the plastic piece blew up and sprayed hot plastic all around the AC compressor. The car runs, but no AC and if I push the AC button, the fuse blows again. I am planning to unbolt the compressor from the engine block, and replace the clutch assembly and pully without disconnecting the hoses. Disconnecting the hoses will vent coolant to the atmosphere and require professional equipment to clean the oil from the system, pull a vaccuum and recharge the system. The AC compressor clutch assembly is available at Advanced Auto for $98. The whole compressor is $247 but requires a lot of work to recharge. You could also take the clutch assembly or whole compressor off and just leave it off and get a shorter (40" in my case) belt to go just to the alternator.
Good Luck.

Why does the maintence required light flash 5 times when started?

It will; always do that on some vehicles, as long as it doesnt stay on for an extended period of time, i wouldnt worry about it so much.

2004 Honda Odyssey D Light Does Not Work, But Maintence Required

D problem is simply a lightbulb out on the cluster board.
Simple to remove the cluster and replace the bulb.

The Service Required light can be reset by
1) Turn they key to the II position

2) Turn the key to the off position, and push and hold in the odometer reset button

3) Turn they key back to the II position, while still holding the button.

4) After about 10-15 seconds, the light should go off.
