I have a 1982 tioga arrow that I just bought and the previous owner had rerouted some belts between the time I test drove it and the time I picked it up. This caused it to overheat on my way home and I had to have a newer engine put in it. Now I am having all kinds of problems. The first one is that my battery keeps dying even tho I am plugged in and camping. What could be draining it? Another problem is that the horn will start randomly blaring when I am not even near the the front of the motor home. Should I just disconnect the horn all together? And could the horn be draining the battery at night?

Over tightening belts flogs bearing and bushes as too much lateral force is applied.
Re-routing makes me think it's not driving the water pump.
Lastly YES the horn can drain the battery as it can short the plates inside it

SOURCE: 87 f250 drained brand new battery

I would first have the alternator checked by an auto electrician to ensure it is working correctly and is providing the correct volume of current. It may be faulty and when driving you will be drawing battery power instead of power from the alternator to run the electrics. This will drain the battery.

Alternators do not last forever and if you are still running the original unit it is likely to be on it's last legs and you will need a replacement unit.

SOURCE: I just bought a 2008

The original equipment battery on this car is weak. I had to put a trickle charger on the battery for my 2008 BMW 535i to keep it charged. Your other option is to buy an aftermarket battery that is tougher than the original and costs less (about $110 versus $435).

Just bought a 2000 Cadillac deville an I drove it 5 min. and it started over heating...the previous owner put a new radiator and thermostat in and said the heads was not blown..

he could be right about the heads but he may have put the thermostat in wrong and instead of opening it is blocking the coolant flow causing the overheating
The time span quoted is about right for a thermostat to start opening

Acceleration problem with 93 toyota

I've had this happen more than once and it always turned out the the timing belt was off by one tooth.
I bought a used car in the 80s that had had its belt improperly replaced, told the dealer that the car had a problem, wouldn't tell them what was wrong and after ~ 20 minutes, they dropped the price to one I had offered, saving 34% off their price.I brought a couple of wrenches with me when I picked it up and drove two blocks and corrected the belt in <10 minutes.I drove it for 10 years and 150K miles before selling it.
Have the belt checked again.
