· Run On-Board Diagnostics tests. Refer to Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis Manual for diagnosis.

HYDRAULIC/MECHANICAL ROUTINE
External Shift Linkage
· Damaged, out of adjustment
· Inspect and repair as necessary. Verify linkage adjustment. After repairing linkage, verify that the transmission range (TR) sensor is correctly adjusted.

Incorrect Pressures
· Low line pressure
· Check pressure at line pressure tap. Carry out Line Pressure and Stall Speed Tests. Refer to Special Testing Procedures in this section. If pressure is low, check the following possible components: main control, pump assembly, reverse clutch assembly, low/reverse clutch assembly.

· Friction elements worn or severely damaged
· Inspect for damage. Repair as necessary.

· Piston return spring damaged
· Inspect for damage. Repair as necessary.

· Wave springs missing
· Inspect for damage. Repair as necessary.

· Piston bore damaged
· Inspect for damage. Repair as necessary.

Forward/Coast/Direct Clutch Cylinder
· Reverse seal rings damaged, missing, misassembled
· Inspect for damage. Repair as necessary.

Case
· Reverse to low/reverse clutch feeds have severe cross- leakage or porosity
· Carry out Air Pressure Test.

· Inspect for damage. Repair as necessary.

Reverse/Overdrive Gear Set
· Damaged
· Inspect for damage. Repair as necessary.

With all that said, you need to have it taken to either the Ford dealer or transmission shop to pinpoint the exact cause of the problem. Either way, it's likely that the transaxle is going to require removal and disassembly to repair, if the TR sensor isn't the cause. You may print this answer and bring it into the servicing tech, in order to expedidite the diagnosis process. Hope this helps.

Don't know where to poor my oil in my 1981 ford f100. there is not filler tube

there shouldn't be a filler tube, just a dipstick tube for checking the oil level. to put the oil in the engine, there should be a oil cap on the right hand side valve cover. if the dipstick tube isn't there, you definitely need to get one from a parts yard or store, you can be losing oil from the dipstick hole that goes to the oil pan...

How do you add motor oil to a 1990 isuzu trooper i've lost the manual so i dont know where the dipstick is.

First I have to know if it is a 6cyl or 4 cyl? If it is 6 cylinder then the dipstick is on the right side looking at the engine from the front. (figure 0-13). In(figure 0-10) in this link:
The oil fill is on the left side of the engine, and may either be a screw in or a plug type (though all the "official" parts depts. swear it is a screw in.
If it is a 4 cylinder, then I suggest you visit the myisuzuparts site to find the right places. I am sure you can purchase a new owner's manual there too.

How much motor oil do i need for my ford f350 how many gal

if it is a gas engine it should use 5 quarts, unless it has a heavy duty oil cooling system, then it may need up to seven quarts. Fill the motor with the first five quarts, the check the oil level with the oil dipstick. If its still low add one half of a quart at a time while checking level each time you add a half quar untill it show full on the oil dipstick..

I had to stop in the dark by the roadside and add oil to my 94 Saturn SL2 in the middle of nowhere, and apparently, i left my oil dipstick out among the cornfields. i'm having a horrible time finding...

Do you live somewhat out in the middle of nowhere?A salvage yard should have plenty of dipsticks for your engine size as it would seem that it is not highly looked for and would only go with the engine if someone bought the whole engine. If there is not one close enough, try finding ones a little farther out.Just let them know the engine size and I amsure they would ship it for a few extra $.Hopefully not more than $5.Good luck! Need to know how to check oil in transmition in a 95 ford aspire

Check the engine oil level every time you fill the gas tank. The car should be on level ground when checking the oil.
  1. Turn the car off and wait several minutes.
  2. Locate the engine oil dipstick and withdraw it from the tube.
  3. Wipe the dipstick with a clean rag and reinsert it in the dipstick tube.
  4. Remove the dipstick again, hold the dipstick horizontally and observe the level of the oil.

Fig. 1: Grasp the engine oil dipstick and withdraw it from the tube

22d3954.gif
Fig. 2: Observe the oil level on the dipstick and add oil if it is low

  1. The oil level should be at the FULL mark on the dipstick.
  2. If the level is at or near the LOW mark, replace the dipstick and add fresh oil to bring the level up to the FULL mark. Do not overfill.
  3. Recheck the oil level and close the hood.

Good luck, and remember rated this help!!!

generally camrys are automatic and if so the fluid goes right into where the dipstick came out of. be sure to add it slowly so it does not come up the dipstick and flood out and be careful not to overfill it.
