Yes, first remove the drivers side headlight. There are 3 bolts to remove for the headlight assembly. Once it is removed, you can have access to the relay. You may have to remove some of the screws that hold the top of the front facia to the cross member to give you some more access, but you don't have to take off the whole grill to replace the relay. Hope this helps.

Replaced radiator fan motor and ir still doesnt work, checked fuse under hood and it is ok

Your vehicle has a fan control relay (Solid state) that is located in the front passenger side behind the grill. Service Manula says you have to take off front bumper to access, but there is a trick to get to it by removing the headlight and cutting through the splash guard for access. Search for Cherokee fan relay replacement and you will find diagrams and instructions on how to do it. Be careful while cutting the access panel. Cutting too deep will cut into the vacuum resevoir (I know!)

2001 chrysler town country ex 3.8 v-6 how to put on a radiator fan relay? what does the relay look like?

the radiator fan relay does not look like a relay at all. on this car is a solid state relay meaning there are no moving parts. it is a black plastic box with small metal rods sticking out of it in a grid (for cooling). it is located on the metal bumper (not the one you see from front of vehicle, the one behind it) you can get to it by removing the grill or just taking out the top screws and pulling it back.

The Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) radiator cooling fan relay is located behind the front bumper fascia below the right headlamp a real pain to get at. supposed to take off bumper, grill, and r side headlamp assy. if youre crafty and have a mirror and you can locate this by eye. you can
"cheat" by using a hole saw to access relay and bolts. can be done without removing said items. be careful. and that will solve your cooling fan issues. common.
