In USA? why not say at the very least where on earth you are
not neighbood, but the COUNTRY.
Ill answer in USA as Im there, and the EVAP is complex here.
worst case.
you plug in a scan too, you scan the ECU,
and do you get DCT's there are many for EVAP.
the smog stations here put on pressure test on the filler neck
and can tell you in under 10second, hey fella? the EVAP system is breached (vent leaks)
look for pending DTCs too, and freeze frame.
the freeze frame will store the last fail, in case you missed it.
you have tank vent failure and all usa cars get real upset with those. DTC'S a bunch.
DTC = diagnostic trouble codes.
a scan tool is as low as $7 , they can be rented too. etc./.........
I would like some more help/advice. Anyone out there can help?
the cap is bad, or the EVAP is failing ,what more do you want know, this is a fact, do you want me to lie to you, or shout in caps. or make up guesses. im a tech. why not listen to facts and good advice.
the modern car has a sealed gas tank vent system , by law, fact 1
your car is failing, and stinks, this is fact 2
you have 2 choice, get it fixed or learn how to fix EVAP
you could log in to alldata dot come and read how this is addressed.
my guess, is that those 2 choices are not "fun"? so here is my guesses.
gas cap bad, vent hoses bad, (cracked) vent vapor seperator on top tank , cracked, last gas pump or last sender service , failed to use a new gasket, or a hose faill off. should i go ON? i can I can list every part on the tank, should , not really you can in fact look and see what is there, but a real shop will do a pressure on the whole system and yes, that includes the cap.. there, is your anwer, DIY or not.
or buy a new gas cap and pray. or just make it tight this time.
FIXKICK, YOU'RE RUDE!

NO NO NO.....GO TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO A SMOG STATION AND ASK THEM TO TEST THE GAS CAP FOR YOU. VISUALLY LOOKING AT A GAS CAP WILL NOT TELL YOU GOOD OR BAD. THEY CHARGE 10.00 AND WILL TELL YOU IF THE GAS CAP IS LEAKING. DONE IT TOO MANY TIME WITH DAIMLER CHRYSLER.

On the gas cap itself theres a rubber o-ring.If thats quashed in any way you'll need to replace it.Sometimes takink the o-ring off and putting it back on fixes the problem. Its a very common problem ans is not that expensive to fix..The reason the code keeps coming back is because its a pressurize system and if theres a leak in the system it will throw the light in the dash..

Actually this sounds like the actuator inside the door is to blame. Basically a small motor/gearbox assembly tied to the door lock mechanism. I had one die under warranty. Same symptoms you described. The dealership changed it, charging 0.2 hours of labor against the warranty. Basically, remove the inside trim panel from the door, unbolt/disconnect the old actuator, and install the replacement.

check under hood while it is running to see if there is gasoline dripping anywhere. You need to find it before it catches on fire. Use a bright flashlight and look at the fuel injectors and loser intake manifold as injector o-ring could be leaking. DO NOT use a lighter. Sorry, but I had to stress this. Gasoline does not burn. The fumes burn.
