The little orange or red ring around the air hose whare it goes in compressor, must be pushed in while pulling out on air line. a small flathead screwdriver works fine

Ford Air Ride Rear Suspension Down Diagnosis & Fix ... why theair ride compressor is not turning on and pumping up the air ridesuspension on your truck. ... Ford Expedition & Lincoln Navigator Air Ride C1725 Common Faults ... 2000 Ford Expedition - Replacing the rear shocks with load leveling shocks ...
These Lincoln air suspensions are terrible. I have converted many over to coil springs at a fraction of the cost of replacing/repairing the bags. If the rear bags don't inflate, there is a broken air line to the bags or the bags are leaking
you need to stop at your local Lincoln dealership in the parts department and they be able to print off the pictures and diagrams you need for the air ride there is nothing on the air ride in my Haynes auto repair manual there should only be one pump that is all i have on my 2000 Ford Expedition wish you the best of luck and sorry i was not much help Michigan Man.
The navi has leveling sensors on both axles that are switches and are adjustable. Most likely these are out of calibration. DO NOT attempt to move or adjust these with the vehicle on jack stands. Vehicle could shift and fall resulting in serious injury.
The thing that most people don't know about air suspension is that the airbags are not meant to be in temperatures below 40 degrees and about 90 degrees. This affects Navigators more than I would like to mention. You will start having problems only when you are in those temperatures but then it will cause permanent damage. I would recommend going to strutmasters.com and checking out the conversion kits. They are powder coated American made steel coil springs. They are guaranteed to last the life of your car and can withstand any weather. I posted the link below so you can take a look.
