Question about 2000 Nissan Maxima

1 Answer

The power seat in my 2000 Nissan maxima does not work in the front lift and lower section. It reclines, moves front and rear and the rear section of the seat raises and lowers correctly. Is this a fuse, switch or motor problem? Any suggestion of correcting this condition. Thanks, Art

This is not the problem. I notice when I try to use the switch the interior light dims. this says to me the circuit is complete and drawing current. I guess it is the motor or drive jammed up.

Your seat uses motors to move the seat you have probably knocked the connector off one of your motors

Front drivers seat will not slide back and forth.

No, check for a blockage in the seat track. You have one power source for all seat functions. If it works one way but not the others it is either a bad switch, or bad motor, or a blockage.

All cars are different it might just me a stripped gear or something but yeah you should be able to replace it yourself. Youll probally have to take the seat out though :/

I need to remove the backseat of my Nissan Maxima-2007 3.5SE..I dropped a small ring down the back of the leather seat..I have tried to use a vaccum , no luck..

Typically, seats jamb fit at the rear and have a spring piece that engauges at the front. To realease, the seat gets moved rearward about 1/2 inch and then pulls up in the front.... Compress the rear of the seat and it takes kind of a lot of force to move the entire seat rearward, but that is what you do....
