Question about 2002 Mazda 626

1 Answer

Paint job The paint right below where the windows roll down is starting to look white-it is nothing I can scrape off. My car is a 2002------ 626---I already had to have the top side panel repainted since it was oxidizing. What is going on?

Hi, this may be a bad application of clear coat in this specific area that was sprayed inappropriately by the painter. If the drying process was rushed during the painting session, this will usually happen at times.

What kind of prep work do I need to do before I paint the outside of my house?

Not sure how this pertains to a car or truck.....but you should scrape or high pressure power wash the entire outside to remove any dirt, contaminates, or loose paint. Then a coat of quality primer and finally a good coat of quality paint. Done correctly with quality materials you should end up with a paint job that will easily last 10 years or better.

Paint on excursion

Our firm licensed the patented technology that Ford used for their paint durability analysis of the Ford Excursion. The issue with most Excursions is paint applied below Ford's minimum paint thickness specifications that should not have been released to the market. Conusmers have been active and in 10 states have taken action in Small Claims Court or outside of it and the results have been that Ford has compensated the owners. We have published Ford's lack of compliance about later years Excursion on page 118 in our research publication:

I have purchased one Getz Prime in July 2007.Paint Bulging (Blister)observed on Right Rear Doorin the Inter Space of Door Handle and the Quarter Glass. This is a Clear Sign of Propagation of Corrossion...

Given the age of the paint unless it has been completely repainted already, it is NOT cost beneficial to fork out the money in attempting to fix the oxidizing paint in the indicated area. Even if you did fix the area, once a vehicle starts to shows signs of this deterioration, it is a clear sign of the age of the paint job. Thus, with the cost of paint rework, it is not in your best interest to have this professionally fixed. However, you may want to attempt to fix it yourself by bringing the immediate area down to the shell with a trusted grid sandpaper kit. Then you may always patch it yourself for about 5 percent of what it would cost to do professionally.

Do u need to take of the tires on a scion tc to bleed the breaks?

With any car you don't need to take off the tires, as long as you're able to access the bleeder value on the caliper. Personally, I also remove the ties as it's MUCH easier to get in there, plus it's not going to roll away. You're asking because you don't have jack stands, right?

Just make sure you're using wheel chocks to keep it from rolling, etc. Read up on bleeding brakes too, there's lots of good info online. It's an easy job (albeit sometimes messy) and best done with a second person to press the pedal when needed.

Don't get brake fluid on your paint, as it'll quickly ruin your paint job. Also, only use fresh brake fluid. Good luck!

Hello hoping 2 find some help.. i have a 2003 lexus gs 300. i took it to an auto body shop 2 get a custom paint job but wene i got it back my rear windows were rolled down. i didnt pay any mind 2 it cause...

I assume they all (windows)have automatic feature(should say on master switch ALL AUTO) , two clickes on each switch.First click for manual rolling , second click for auto rolling.
If that so , you can try to reset them :
Put the ignition on or start the car , close all doors ,
roll window up on first click and hold it for 10 sec. , then go down and do the same when window is down. If it doesn't work with the first click , try it on the second click. Roll it up and hold switch for 10sec.
, then down and hold switch down for 10 sec.
This procedure will not work if you only have auto on driver window.
Hope it helps.

Power windows will not roll down or up

If your other switches don't work, and the master is not locked, you need a new master as it is keeping the others from working.

1994 acura integra--Paint job.

Surface rust can be worse than it appears so then in that case, the bad spots will have to be cut out and new metal welded in its place. (Look at the rust from underside of the panel--moisture gets there and rusts from the inside out) Paint chips can be sanded down. As far as a quote, here in southeast Missouri ...it would be $1600-$1700 for a full body paint job.

Paint peeling on my ford f-150

I have actually fixed these trucks under warranty. The EPA is the root cause of this, and lack of testing the newer system, this problem is pretty much of the past as the newer vehicle have a better system on them to complie with EPA regs.

Driver's window

I have the same problem, its more than likely a sticking motor. I just punch the door panel below the window switch (where the motor is) and it works. You may have to bang it a few times but i have to do it about once a week on the front right or my car.
