I was able to get out my CD using a piece of card stock. It took some fishing, but I was able to get it out eventually. The player seems to be working fine now.

Same thing happened here. It didn't go in quite right. To solve it, I used another CD as a tool to jiggle the stuck one around just enough that I could grab it and pull it out.

Also, if your stuck CD has a sticker from a library or for some other reason, the sticker can pull up and jam it. A car stereo shop can dismantle the unit for about 1/2 hour of labor cost.

I am not sure if you will be able to get to it or not, but there is a tiny pinhole somewhere on your player. It may be on the front panel or even on top or the side, insert a long corsage needle, (the kind that have a pearl on top), so that you don't hurt your finger. You may have to apply a little pressure, this is the back-up eject release type of thing. This should open your player and eject your CD. This could have happened because you need to clean your player, or sometimes, when you insert the CD it doesn't quite go in right causing it to jam. I hope this helps. Robi

Try suggestion 1, since resetting seems to be the only plausable idea. Otherwise, buy a new CD player. After market decks are usually better than factory ones, and you can get one that plays any file format from CD's or USB drives.

I just purchased a 2008 VW Passat. It has an iPod docking station in the glove box. The dealer said to plug in your iPod and hit the "CD" button twice. Nothing happens. The sound system keeps...

The CD player needs to recognize the "magazine". Once the IPod is plugged in then turn on the radio and press the CD button until it says Magazine.

2004 Honda Pilot single CD player - is it possible for a cd to be 'lost' in the player? Put a cd in but it did not recognize or eject. Put in a secong cd and it plays.

I have had the same problem with my 2003 Pilot single player. Over the life of the car, it has eaten 2 CDs and they are still in the player. CDs still play fine. How can I get them out? One is a library CD, and they want me to pay them for it. I'm not sure they believe that the car ate my CD.

Hi 2004 passat 1.9TDI Always starts first time. Switch off engine. 4 out of 5 times restarts ok. other times engine turns over ok but immobilizer wil not disengage

You may have a problem with your dash speedo insert, this is coded to the immoboliser, or your reader coil which is part of your ignition barrell, or it could simply be a re-coding issue.
