Remove the battery on the drivers side and remove the light cable then remove the rubber boot that makes a water seal. unclip the light and change the bulb. remember that there is only one way to put the light in its socket. the rest is easy to re-assemble. the passenger side is pretty mutch easyer to do.

If the cruise lamp comes on and the cruise does not set i would advise inspecting the cruise cable and make certain it is not broken, if ok the the servo has likely failed.

Need a diagram I am trying to install spark plugs on 2001 ford escape.

You dont need a diagram, just replace them. It helps a lot when you tell which engine you have when asking engine questions.

Head lamp bulb change

I've done this once, so i'll do my best to help you here. You'll need some sort of light you can shine to do this. First you need to unplug the headlight plug from the assembly. Next there will be a rubbery boot you also need to take off, this just pulls right off. This next part is where it gets sticky. There is a phillips screw that holds down a flexible pin/clamp/whatever you want to call it down against the back of the bulb. Unscrew the screw enough to remove the pin, you won't need to completely remove the screw though to remove the pin. Once you have the pin removed, you can then get at the bulb. The bulb itself has 3 points, like a down-ward arrow. Line up the 2 points that are closer together with the top and just slide the bulb in WITHOUT TOUCHING THE GLASS of the bulb. If you touch the glass, say goodbye to the bulb's life. To put it back together, get the bulb in, the pin screwed down and reverse the rest of the process. Hope this helps.

Need to replace "check engine" lamp in dash of 2001 Ford Explorer

The easiest way is to actually remove the instrument cluster. You would have to have teenie tiny hands to get to the bad bulb from underneath/behind/and up to the bulb.

It is really not that difficult to remove the dash. If you go to your library you can take a look at a Chilton's or Haynes manual...or better yet, just invest in one from a parts store and it will tell you how to do it step by step.

2001 ford escape-passenger door handle assembly has small hole for actuating rod to fit in to open the door from outside. This portion seems to have broken off (white metal-alum ect).Is there a fix for this...

I just ordered the part for the inside of the door from a local ford dealer. It was in Michigan and arrived in three days to Missouri so shipping is fairly fast. The part is around $35.00. The part number is 6L8Z-78223N03-AA. Its the inside door reinforcement bracket and it comes with a new bushing for the actuator rod. I hope this helps.
