Check your ditstributer and replace the rotor. May work and is a cheap fix if it doesn't.

While driving jeep loses elect. to engine. still has fuel pressure. after a few minutes it will strat back up.

Check all fuse box connections, battery terminals and leads. Also check age of battery. If it has too much silt in the bottom of it (corrosion) then it may be shorting within.

Start engine

well I would try waiting 30 seconds after you turn your key on then proceed to start.that way your fuel pump comes on and pressurises your fuel rail

Reset computer on 96 jeep gcl

You usually reset the computer by removing the negative battery terminal for about 5 minutes, then replace it. After this, your ECU (in teh next 40 strats) learn your drive mode.

Good luck, and rememeber tared the help.

My car  wont  strat  after the  fan belt  got  to tight and the smoke came out of  engine  i fix it  but now  it  just  wont  start

the belt cant just up and get too tight,,,did the belt break...a pully maybe locked up and caused it to burn the belt off....waterpumps and ac compressors are known to do that...if the new belt is gripping well it may keep the engine from turning over....

Wont strat

Hello thank you for using FixYa.com for your answer my name is David.
You say it wont start in the normal way by just turning it on but if you pour gas in the throttle body
it will start sounds like you have a weak fuel pump most likely but there are a few other things that could cause it also .
