Is there any insurance company that will insure a vechile that is not registered. it will not be driven but parked in garage for a period of about 8 months

Call a couple companies & ask

If your not using it & it is in a garage
I would cancel the insurance anyway

Now they won't let you anymore

That said-- in New Jersey, you can no longer do that,
unless you surrender the plates, which is okey if
they are not special ones, you want to keep

They won't stop the insurance until you personally
walk the receipt for the plates from motor vehicles,
into the insurance agents office

Really -- I hate this nonsense, your in the same situation

They won't insure a non registered vehicle,they won't insure
a vehicle you park on the street & not use or don't remove the plates
& on & on

All you can do is go to the various agents & get the education
& get upset

Over 50 years as a car guy, this subject & others really gets to me

Democracy or Socialism & others, are long gone from this planet

You could possibly get it from one of the collector car companies
but that doesn't seem like a good idea or affordable

I guess the price of the registration is cheap & then you insure it

It gets better

If your going to move to Delaware 200 miles away, as I am,
then no registration is give out until you pass inspection

SO--- how do you I drive with no registration & you no insurance,
to go to inspection

Great Country--- I'am done voting--- & my time as a veteran & time
in Viet Nam was a waste

My car got rear-ended, in the state of California. The other parties' insurance admits their client is a fault. The claims adjuster is trying to push me to call their client because they are offering to...

Do Not Call The Other Party. Have The Claims Adjuster Do There Job And Write A Estimate On Your Car. If Not Take Your Car To Three Or Four Body Shops And Have Them Do One For You. And Send The Estimates to the insurance company

How do I get Budget insurance to sort out a claim

I recommend getting the adjusters name and contact info. that is handling the claim. That person, the adjuster, is who decides liability.

I have a 1997 nissan pathfinder it was involved in an acccident just front right fender damage and grill. car ran great because always kept up on maintenaince . I had a dealership body shop fix the fender....

Hello, First, you can try to call your Insurance company. Be sure to explain up front that your vehicle was tied up for many months since the accident and that the completion date of the repair is the "Returned to Service date".

This should help clear the way for a "Hidden" damage claim and also point out to the Insurance company that the Repair shop worked on the part immediately in front of the leak. Now I suspect the removal of the Vibration damper (which sometimes must be pried off) is the root cause of the oil leak.

If someone poked a screwdriver around the front engine seal to remove the Vibration Damper it could easily ruin the front oil seal by the crankshaft. The metal is not a hard metal and the casing could also be cracked by improper removal of the Vibration Damper.
They should have used a pulley puller for this task.

In either matter, if the oil runs out it can smoke the bearings, and actually the entire engine. (Lifters, Valve train, Camshaft, etc)

Your Insurance adjuster is your best friend for this. It is his job to make sure that the Repairs are complete. If the vehicle is damaged in the Repair process, then the Insurance company and Repair facility should fight this out with you being a non-combative interested third party.

Only after you fail to get satisfaction, should you need a Lawyer. Just find out what the Statute of Limitations is in your State to file a claim. The Lawyer should know who is to be sued and you need to have the long form of your Insurance Policy handy so he/she can tell if you agreed to Arbitration when signing the Insurance Policy.

I hate to see anyone cheated, and the Repair shop has caused more damage to the engine than he received to repair the Vehicle body. So that is why the Repair shop would be reluctant to help. But the Repair shop could stand to be banned from fixing your Insurers' future claims. Those economics can be harsh if you are insured with a Major insurer. Good Luck on this and I hope you find my Solution helpful.

Oil starvation problem

Why did you take it back to the Dealer and not the original repairer

I would sue the *** off that third party garage for neglect.

They drained off the oil and they are responsible for re-filling it and fitting any filters correctly .

Get a lawyer to speak to them

They should be insured against bad workmanship
