Please DO NOT TRY TO USE ANY FORCE TO TAKE OUT THE KEY AND SEE THIS URL ... http://www.billswebspace.com/vw.tb.94-04-03_ignition_key_emergency_release.pdf

Hope this helps

Hopefully you have the key out now. I was hoping that would help you JUST TO TAKE THE "STUCK" KEY OUT.

As far as reprogramming the key that requires the assistance of an automotive locksmith or VW dealer in your area. I do not think that is something you can do yourself unless you have the equipment to do it.

Key won't turn, won't shift from Park

My 2003 Saturn l200 2.2 ecotec did this when the battery was dead. Put some juice on the battery, then the car came out of park, and I was able to remove the key. To the car, there's a vast difference between a sluggish battery and a dead battery. It may have enough amps to crank it, but it wont start w/out full output from the battery.

Stuck eldorado key in DTS ignition now car won't start

Make sure your steering wheel isn't locked. Sometimes a key won't turn until you jiggle the wheel while trying to turn the key.

Battery was disconnected for about a day...now it wont start. battery is good...no mechanical work was done to vehicle...just fender work

probably a security key issue. you could try turning the ignition to the on position for about a minute and then turn it off the try starting it

Jump start won't work on my 2004 Touareg V6

It all depends on several variables.
  • Were the connections clean? (battery cables and posts
  • Did you have a good connection with the jumper cables? (some battery posts are hard to get at and clamping a jumper cable can be difficult)
  • How long were the jumper cables left on? (weaker batteries will require leaving the jumpers on for a longer period of time (15-30 minutes)
  • Was the other car running? (jumping battery to battery will have the same effect as jumping alternator to battery)
  • Was the car with the dead battery warm or cold? (if the car you're trying to start was hot, it may not be the battery that's at fault
If the car you're trying to start is cold, ensure your battery connections are clean (manually cleaning is better but there are some very good sprays that work pretty well.  Leave the jumpers on for a longer period of time with the other car running.
I hope this solves your problem.  Best of luck.
